The lost treasure of the church

A scholarly work on repentance. I fear most Christians have no concept of what true repentance is.

Repentance, as first breath of an immortal life

Dr. RC Sproul presents Psalm 51 as model of genuine repentance, but is quick to infer that it (the genuine repentance) is not achieved by mere recitation of said Psalm, but by the work of God in our hearts.
Those hearts, wicked beyond believe, are addressed by Jesus on the Sermon on the Mount. Those hearts mended by God through authentic faith in Him produce fruit worthy of repentance.
But everything starts with faith.
