Publisher's summary

Here there be dragons!

At least one of them, and he's gone and burned down the great City of Gnome. Chase and her merry band of miscreants must search the rubble for their friend Thomasi, before the mysterious Inquisition can put an end to him.

The only problem is that the dragon is still around. Worse yet, some old familiar faces are back, and Chase must contend with the powerful and amoral players once more. She'll need every bit of skill and wit to keep alive and succeed with her mission!

Oh yeah, and evidently the world's ending. That might need looking at, too. She'll get right on it as soon as everything's not on fire.

The stunning conclusion to the litRPG Small Medium Trilogy!

LitRPG & GameLit authors take note:

This is what a five-star, across-the-board LitRPG book looks like. In fact anything in the ThreadBare universe is a perfect example of how to write not only great GameLit but also just great fiction.

TGR is also a good idea when deciding to do an audiobook release of your work, because he nails it every time... at least in my experience.

If you’ve read the previous books in the series then you really don’t need to bother reading reviews. You know that this book is gonna be boss.

Great Book

Listen to the threadbare series up to book 3 then listen to tlisten to this entire series and then listen to the blasphemy online series. This is the intended order and anyone that says otherwise is a fool.

I have found that this book series was this was incredible and I burned right through it it. The threadbare series was just difficult to get into at times even though I did like the characters.. There is no fear of death in that book series and it takes all of the drama and action away. Also I am a living being and so I can relate so much more to Chase than I can Is a toy golem. The threadbare series is totally worth listening to because you will understand the characters and the themes referenced in this book. I absolutely love how clever and unique and unique Chase's character Sheet was. I have read so many lit RPg's And usually they are predictable. Her abilities made the story incredible incredible and the narrator was very on point it. I am looking forward to the next series and hope it is as good.

A great #LitRPG book

A well done book for sure. I love how the characters are written, the inside jokes for us humans are a nice touch. A great world to peek into.

An ending that is not the end!

This is a wild ride! Just like ever book in the Threadbare universe it will leave you wanting more and Andrew does not disappoint! If you have not partaken of the original Threadbare or Dragon Hack series, those are your next downloads.

Story continues in another series

I did enjoy the “finale” but despite it being the end of the series, the story doesn’t end here, rather it continues in a new trilogy and is in a way a continuation of yet another series, Threadbare.
I don’t mind that these are different series in the same world, but I did expect an ending when this series ended and not just a to-be-continued at the end. That being said I find this book, and series as a whole, a solid 4 stars

Nice

A good way to end the series and leaves it open for a sequel if that happens.

Stop! Read this trilogy before the others!

This is going to sound weird, but if you haven't already read the Threadbear and Blasphemy trilogies, DON'T, not yet. If you read Small Medium, then Threadbear, then Blasphemy, they feed into each other much better, and you get only minor spoilers as a trade-off.

This book is fantastic, a wonderful conclusion to this trilogy. It has the sort of world building and clever plans we have come to expect from this author, and as the self-contained plot unfolds, it turns out to be pretty damn cool. There's also a lot of screentime for all the characters we have come to love (except maybe one) and we get to know a character we've only seen as an adversary up to now...several, in fact. The plot lets Chase and the Muscle Wizaard and Cañia really flex the skills and personalities we've seen them grow, and the new additions to the roster are quite nice. Plus, we get to learn the Terrible Secret behind dungeons.

I'll probably end up saying this a lot, but I love the reader - he's very talented and invested, good at doing lots of distinctive, consistent voices and accents (tho I feel like Madeline is written Australian and he goes for something else) and I can't get enough of his game-announcements voice. So much better than just reading it, even if the repetitive level-ups occasionally get a bit tedious. Also, huuuuge bonus: we get the reader doing the Muscle Wizaard AND Dejournos in THE SAME BOOK! I love it! I'll take 10!
