Key strategies to safeguard your future

Well Aware offers a timely take on the leadership issues that businesses face when it comes to the threat of hacking. Finney argues that cybersecurity is not a technology problem; it’s a people problem. Cybersecurity should be understood as a series of nine habits that should be mastered - literacy, skepticism, vigilance, secrecy, culture, diligence, community, mirroring, and deception - drawn from knowledge the author has acquired during two decades of experience in cybersecurity. By implementing these habits and changing our behaviors, we can combat most security problems.

This book examines our security challenges using lessons learned from psychology, neuroscience, history, and economics. Business leaders will learn to harness effective cybersecurity techniques in their businesses as well as their everyday lives.

Great Cyber security Overview

This book serves as a good way to understand cyber security from the non technical perspective where it takes the reader on a journey from a neurological standpoint that is practical for everyone to understand. I really enjoyed a break from all the techie reads on such a technical topic.

Business leaders listen up...

We all know that cybersecurity is key and lack thereof can take businesses of all sizes down in a moment's notice. Cybersecurity not a static problem to solve as the bad actors keep innovating quickly. This is where 'Well Aware' shines: More than a prescriptive check list that would have been outdated before the book's release, George provides a guide to behavioral change that will pass the test of time. If as a leader you can instill the 9 cybersecurity habits in your teams' daily routines, you are building continuous cyberimprovement and can thereby future proof your organization. The book is an easy read or listen, and now one of my favorite business books!

Great perspective on cyber habits

George did a great job across the entire book. But the stories that brought to life the different habits were spot on and relatable.
