Interesting book

I enjoyed listening to this book but was still confused when it was finished. Not knowing what was going on with Madison. I will have to read the next book to learn more. I received a copy for an honest review.

Maddie's story

After reading Volume 1 of this series, I was anxious to continue the story. This volume was told from the perspective of Madison Monroe, the woman from the first book who was (supposedly) abducted by aliens.

I have to say that I was slightly disappointed by this book. The story jumped around a lot, with Maddie having an internal dialogue with herself throughout the entire book. There was really no relationship to the original story, with Maddie just talking about things in a vague way. The most interesting part of the book to me was the introduction of the mystery man (alien?).

The idea behind this series is interesting and I plan to continue with it even though this volume really didn't move the story along IMHO. I personally think that if the two books had been combined, with switching the POV between the two main characters, I would have enjoyed it more.

The narrator did a good job and her pacing and tone were perfect for the book. I was given the chance to listen to this book by the author and chose to review it.

New Understanding

I really lived this book until the last couple of chapters that is where it turned for me. The storyline is well written but it can get confusing if you are not paying attention. Melanie Fumosa did an outstanding job as the narrator bringing the story to life. This is my honest unbiased review that I am voluntarily leaving.
