Publisher's Summary

In this second collection, Pennsylvania artist, teacher, and author Lynda McKinney Lambert invites listeners into her world of profound sight loss to discover the subtle nuances and beauty of a physical and spiritual world. She takes strands from ancient mythology, history, and contemporary life and weaves a richly textured new fabric using images that are seen and unseen as she takes us on a year-long journey through the seasons. All stories in this book were created after her sudden sight loss in 2007 from Ischemic Optic Neuropathy. Lambert invites us to see the world with new eyes.

There is something for everyone in this book!

Walking by Inner Vision is a delicious mix of poetry, quotations, narrative, prayer, bible segments, and deeply personal lived experience of the author. The reader learns of Lynda's vision loss, how it affected her in body, mind, spirit, and daily life, and is carried into her works of adjustment, healing, and her deeply faithful journey. The reader is left with a feeling of true emotional intimacy with the author, as well as with a good experience of encouragement to soldier on in the face of our own life challenges. I appreciated the narrator's richly feeling voice - a good match for this narrative and expression.
