Wild and complicated late 90s life

This book was so interesting. Deryck has lived so many different lives and has pulled through. What an amazing story and I'm so happy he told it. So many wild and crazy things happened, such a rock & roll lifestyle and he seemed to come out better at this moment. If you like pop punk or grew up in the late 90s, early 2000s, this is a must read.

A surprisingly good listen

Not the biggest Sum 41 fan, just a casual listener, but I saw Deryck on a podcast and thought the way he spoke of the past was very interesting, so I signed up for Audible and gave this a listen. Wow, what a great first audiobook this was. It's very clear Deryck wrote this by himself and from the heart. He gives nuance to things a read wouldn't grant, and acoustic snippets of songs as he talks about them made me a bigger Sum 41 fan!

Loved this!

Growing up listening to Sum 41, it was great hearing the back story and rise of Deryck. I loved how it added in the acoustic songs to make those parts hit harder. Highly recommend, I've listened to it twice this year!
