Loved the story

I really enjoyed this book. Byrne is a self-made billionaire who doesn’t have the arrogant attitude you expect. Lana is a sweet wanna be actress working at a nice restaurant.

Bryce is attracted to Lana when he realizes she reminds him of what life was like before making his money and being named most eligible bachelor.

Their story is a great story of two people from different circumstances finding true love. Just the right amount of conflict but not enough to overdo it.

Disappointing

I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. I am a voracious "reader" of audible books and this was one of the hardest books to get through. In fact, had I not promised to review it, I would have stopped listening. The narrator just was not good; it was like listening to a book read to you by a teacher. Very monotone; couldn't differentiate between characters. The story was also a little simplistic and didn't hold my interest. I had no buy in to any of the characters.

Faith!

Our good-hearted heroine is quick to run away when she feels threatened by snobs. She needs to learn to cope with her feelings of inadequacy occasioned by childhood bullying. So I was surprised at how fast she was to pass judgment on others based on superficialities such as appearance. But overall she is in there trying and achieving and endeavoring to live her faith. Meanwhile our hero has allowed tragedy and dispair to pull him away from his roots and his own faith. Led by example, he re-embraces his desire to do well by doing good. A sweet, enjoyable tale.

Dreams

This is an inspiring story about how bullying affects you at any age. The differences in lifestyles and how God helps put things in perspective. I received a complimentary audio and this review is voluntary.

Character emotions portrayed well

Personally, I thought this was going to be a one way romance. Like Lana, I wouldn't want to fit into a world where you are based off of what you do and wear. I am glad Lana did not sacrifice her values for Bryce, because she would have ended up in the long run unhappy. Bryce had to accept Lana and her values. He had to come off the perch he was sitting on if he wanted a true chance at happiness. I liked this story because our heroine stuck to her values and didn't let Bryce push her into something that she wasn't.

I liked the audio version, the narrator portrayed the emotions of the characters and expressed each one with the right strength. The male voices need a little work, but low soprano voice of the reader probably doesn't reach to the needed depth.

Great Listening

As having read the book first, it came across very well through Audible. The narrator did a nice job with the read.

Sweet and Clean Romance

This was my first Jenna Brandt's book. Bryce and Lana's story is clean, and sweet. Chantelle Theocharidis has a beautiful voice, but unfortunately the characters weren't easy to distinguish.

Beautifully Written!

I finished listening to this story today. I also read the ebook last year and was totally delighted with it.
It is a great story, beautifully written with lovable main characters, interesting supporting ones and is so down-to-earth and realistic that it is very easy to follow and I found it to be most enjoyable.
The narration by Chantelle Theocharidis is not what I am used to. I found it too fast and abrupt and my attention was so fixed on the voice that I had to go back several times to relisten to parts of it so that I could follow the story.
The story itself is very recommendable but I wasn't happy with the narration, unfortunately.
I requested and listened to the audiobook and the above is my voluntary and unbiased review of it.

Sweet Romance!

Sometimes, when I see the word billionaire in the title, I tend to overlook it. Normally an alpha male, full of himself and willing to spend anything to get what he wants, the story gets old. But when I grabbed this one, I was pleasantly surprised. Jenna Brandt gives a fresh outlook on the billionaires and their quest to find true happiness. Bryce Montgomery is Manhattan Magazine's most eligible bachelor, but he hates to be stalked by those that want him for his looks or money. When he meets Lana, a waitress, he is taken in. She does not give him the time of day, but he is persistent. Will this ordinary woman be the one who steals his heart? This faith based story is a beautiful journey of self discovery and hope. The track of following God's path and finding your true heart leads these two to find happiness. It's a warm hearted story and will leave you feeling good.

This is my first narration by Chantelle Theodcharidis. Her voice is pleasant, but at times, her voices all sounded the same. The distraction of not being able to tell voices apart made it a little awkward at times. I enjoyed her pace and the inflections she uses are heart felt.
