Refreshing story

Lawfully Pursued by Lorana Hoopes is a sweet, delightful romance. Jesse is a serious-minded member of a SWAT team. He’s religious and has no interest in superficial, frivolous women. Brie is a spoiled, rich young woman with no direction or ambition. When her father cuts her money supply off and insists she get a job, she thinks the world as she knows it has ended. And it has. Once she meets Jesse, she learns there is so much more to life than buying designer bags.
This was a refreshing story with important messages. I highly recommend it for the young adults of today who are lacking positive role models.
Sarah Sampino did a wonderful job with the narration. She handled both the male and female voices authentically.

Lawfully Pursued

The bored rich girls decide to make a bet. And Brie agrees to take on her friends challenge to hopefully get a date with her best friends brother at the end. The bet is to get Jesse to purpose marriage in a month. But Jesse is not at all what Brie is used to or expected. As they become friends and start to date, she starts to realize she may not really like the person she has been. Jesse shows her a new path and she starts to become the person she was meant to be. This is a short and sweet romance. Sarah Sampino does a lovely job with the narration.

Heavenly intervention?

Thoroughly enjoyable story about a spoilt little rich girl as she faces choices in lifestyle, career and family but a Hastily made bet may be her undoing . Well written and flowed smoothly.
Nicely narrated by Sarah Sampino.

When I bought this I didn't know it was so short. The narrator had no variation in her voice.

The power of a good heart

Wonderful story about a man with great faith and integrity inspiring hope, faith, and love in a woman who had relied only on her wealth and appearance. I was pleasantly surprised that, in spite of the H's dangerous profession, the story didn't require abduction, injury, or the death of side characters to move the plot along. The story shows how a good heart will make a person even more handsome/beautiful (not that either the H or h were unattractive). I love stories that don't require a large helping of stress, danger, or a long period of misunderstanding to get to the HEA.

A really good Christian romance!

I listened to this book in the audio form. I had never read a book written by Lorana Hoopes nor narrated by Sarah Sampino before. I really, really enjoyed it.
This story was a Christian romance. The main male character, Jesse, is a devoted Christian and lives by his beliefs. Brie, the heroine, is basically a little rich girl that gets told to grow up and make something of herself--credit cards cut off, has to get a job. Although Brie and Jesse come together under dubious circumstances Jesse turns out to be the best thing for her, if only he will give her a chance.
I was given this audio book for my enjoyment. All thoughts are my own.

Sweet and clean novella!

This was my first Lorana Hoopes's book. This is a sweet and clean novella. Brie and Jesse are beautiful and opposites characters: Jess's a SWAT officer and Brie's a billionaire's daughter. Their story is well written, and I love their happy ending. The narration is well done. Sarah Sampino has a great voice, easy to understand. I enjoyed my listening. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily written this review.

Opposite Attract

I enjoyed this so much. Opposite do attract. Spoiled rich girl with a down to earth guy. Who would have thought that they could find love. This was my first book by this author and narrator. I enjoyed it from start to finish. I loved how Brie noticed who her real friends were. Glad her dad finally put her foot down on her behavior. This is a must listen for me.

Great Story, Great Listen! 4.5 Sweet Lovely Stars!

“Lawfully Pursued” is my 1st Christian Romance and I enjoyed it, the story grabbed my attention from the start and held it there to the very end. The storylines and characters storylines are interesting and well developed. I loved the two lead characters, it was great to watch Brie Carter’s inner growth and awakening to become a better person. Jesse Calhoun is a sweetheart, he just what Brie needed. I recommend this sweet & entertaining romance novella to anyone looking for a quick enjoyable read or audible listen.

I listened to the Audible edition, Sarah Sampino is a wonderful narrator & storyteller. She performs the voices of all the characters and brings them to life from the pages to your ears. Thank you for the great & entertaining listen.

Christian romance

I like all kind of romances and this book was a sweet Christian romance that reminds us that Christians have issues too and can overcome them with love and faith. I appreciate that the man was the one with faith first.
