On the Hunt for a Husband

Cute story of a young girl having a crush for a young man associated with her family. She loved him for years and now was ready to get him to realize that he loved her too. Good narrative.

Must listen

As the story goes, love that the stories continue and you still have family involved. If s must to listen to.

My favorite in Series

I think I liked this one best out of the series. maybe cuz you watched both kids grow up through the series.

Waiting For Nick

After listening to several other books in this series being read by the narrator, I was pleasantly surprised that there was less use of the fake accents, nasally and whiny voice that was used on other characters. It was like the narrator was finally getting the feel of the characters and letting them bleed through the reading.

Nick had a difficult life. It all came to a head when he was caught stealing electronics when he was 17. Rachel, his public defender entered his life and he turned it all around. That was also when he met Fredricka, Rachel's niece.

Fred loved Nick since that first day. Now years later, all grown up she takes her chance and goes after her hearts desire.

Note: Freddy's good friends, the O'Hurley's, are introduced to Nick.

I had never read NR. She is a great writer. Story line. .great. It makes you want to keep reading.

Maybe I'm being harsh however...

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Someone who likes obnoxious spoiled women. I haven't read/listened to any other books in the series and if the characters are 1/2 as annoying as the main female in this book I just don't want to know.

What do you think your next listen will be?

I listened to Jude Deveraux's "Ever After" once this books was completed. That story was wonderful, both the story and narration.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Christina Traister?

Anybody, why is it so many female narrators can not narrate male voices without them sounding stupid and slow? The main male voice displays no emotion and the female sounds superior.
