Basically a sales letter pretending to be a book

Like lots of books these days, this book seems like a sales letter for more expensive courses. The author gives listeners a discount code to sign up for a free course. From that free course you can pay prices like $600 to watch a course on “video prospecting.” Really? After listening to your 11 hour audiobook I’m still supposed to pay $600 to figure out how to do something as simple as video prospecting? I wanted an audiobook that would quickly tell me the tools and concepts I need for virtual sales. But this author has spun off an entire business selling courses on how to do this stuff instead of given you the necessary information in this book.

Swing and a miss

I’ve read multiple Jeb Blount books, the majority of which I’ve been impressed by, but this is by far the worst. More than half the book is focused around the obvious basics of a virtual meeting i.e. have a stable internet connection, be presentable, look into the camera. Really disappointed as it’s lacking guidance around prospecting and true sales techniques for the WFH/digital environment.

"Video Saves You Time" - that's it

#1 - I loved Fanatical Prospecting and got a lot from it. Hence I tried this. I am 2.5hrs in and, literally, all I have heard is "video calls save you a lot of time". It feels like a rushed, post-pandemic, opportunity-ceasing book and it has so far only beat one drum. It is wasting my time. I am not going to listen to any more, I am deleting it - an Audible credit wasted - the time video calls have saved me this week I have lost to listening to this. Bad.
