Damien & Yelena

This book was much better than the 1st in the series (IMO). I’ve read other series by Zoe Blake that tie in characters to this series and they too were good. In this book. I love love loved Yelena & her fighting spirit. Also, this one was written where Damien explained how she was in danger, as opposed to in the first book where Gregor did not.
The story & character depth is so well done and the first 2 books of this series occur on the same time line as the Ruthless Obsession series, namely Vaska & Mary’s story, so that was cool to see the other side of the helicopter incident on the roof of Dimitri & Emma’s house. I highly recommend reading that series first. It’s super good.
Anyway, back to this book. Unlike his brother Gregor (& how he handled Semana), Damien realized Yelena is scared and everything happening is a lot to absorb. He has much more patience than Gregor even though Yelena wore him out. He seemed to genuinely consider & care for Yelena. I laughed in this book. Also, the whole punishment scenarios played out in this book much better than in Gregor’s story which also happened on a parallel timeline.
I purchased the Audio book and the Tor Thom & Hollie Jackson were fantastic narrators as always - get the audio version, it is soooo worth it.

Marvelous Love Story!

Exciting story with lots of drama, laughter, and twists and turns! Characters were inspired! What a great love story!

Yelena and Damien

This was a great story. I love mafia romance and Zoe Blake's books are outstanding. Yelena managed to run from Damien and stayed gone for three years before he found her. She could be very annoying, especially since Damien was trying to keep her safe. There were bad people after her for her betting and winning at horse racing. She figured out an algorithm that worked. This book did not have a lot of smexy times but mostly push/pull between Helena and Damien. Hollie Jackson and Tor Thom did a great job with the narration.

The female narrator ruined this for me..

I love the concept of this story. But the female voice made me DNF.

This is book 2 of the Ivanov Crime Family Series…My hope is there will be a book 3, since it kinda ended with a HEA of sorts and a hint of another book to follow is my guess. This book has some triggers, along with some sex scenes and love which is nice but Zoe Blake can the next book be a little more smexy/naughty😘pretty please❣️ Is this book🎧listen worth the credit? In my humble opinion…Yes…Enjoy❣️
