Mafia Romance

Sister’s husband.

All the things needed for a mafia romance.

The story is complete, but it does give way to the next couple in the series.

Zoe Blake is an auto-buy author for me and has been for years. Nice quick reads. Also have gone back and bought the audio for all these to go over them again.

Konstantin (Kostya) & Marina

Geezus! Poor Marina! She went through hell & back because of her deceased sister. She was a great fighter though & I was here for it. For his part Kostya meant well in trying to reach her before the assassins but like a true Ivanov, he lacked communication skills, and approached any dissent with dominance & punishment, which gets old, but in this book, Marina gave it back pretty well (Not as good as Yelena, but still decent). The ending of this book has been my favorite so far. And I was so happy Nadia spoke up and also when Kostya spoke harsh to her, I loved how (as always), Mikhail cautioned him. Anyway, the ending was sooooo good in my opinion. The preview of Artem & Viktoria’s story has me reeling, I can’t wait to start it.
Lastly, as in all books of this series, the narration was fantastic. I purchased the audio book.

Twisted Proposal by Zoe Blake. Five Stars.⭐️
This book continues the Ivanov family’s story. I love the way it ties in with Zoe’s Ruthless Obsession series. It’s so fun to see the original and much loved characters cross over in both series.

The interactions between Artem and Victoria are fiery and very volatile. The sexual tension is broken when they come together in a clash of hot and dirty escapades. I thought of the movie Mr and Mrs Smith. In a few places I laughed out loud. Zoe Blake throws a few zingers in every now and then and I love it!

A few times along the way I wanted to smack them both for their stubbornness. There is no cliffhanger, and of course there is a HEA. The epilogue gives us a taste of what is coming next. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book.


The audiobook is amazing and I love immersive reading with both.

I LOVE Her work .

I Love How She Adds Characters descriptions to her stories.

I personally look for them when chosing a story.

I can really relate to them with a detailed description of the characters.

Like how Koskov has Dark hair and Blue Eyes.
and Marina has Golden hair (blonde) with Emerald eyes .

Now about this book...

It blows me away Just how Wonderful the Narrators are at thier jobs, In bringing these characters to life.

Tor is a wonderful Narrator and I really liked that he used his own voice other than using an accent Although he's really good at them too, I like his own voice.

He's sexy enough with is own blessed voice ... 🥰😍

Now Hollie Nailed the accent throughout the story. Really Believable Character.

The story was pretty good too., but Honestly in my Opinion the fist 3 books were a bit better for me.

BK. 1 SAVAGE VOW
BK. 2 VICIOUS OATH ( My Favorite ) Were top notch, both I would rate 5⭐ books
BK. 3 BETRAYED HONOR might be just a bit rougher for some.

but all 3 had more interconnected characters in them. Which led to some funny moments.

This story here seemed to me to be a bit more Isolated with more focus on the main characters, which i normally perfer and less on the side characters.

Which was totally fine ,but I really enjoyed the banter between the Characters in the earlier books in this series .

There were a few new characters added in this book, Like Koskov's brothers ,which I am hoping leads to more banter and interaction of characters in Zoe's future books in this series .

Ok Now there was a scene on the train that might be triggering for some. I don't want 2 give anything away, but just be aware something could be coming up there.

Marina was on the run so there was no girl friends for her to lean on like the earlier books had.

Which was totally different from the norm in this series , but awsome in it's own right ,
It made her story unique.

There was one thing I was waiting for but never came , I was a bit disappointed to see Koskov, told his listeners a few times that he Loved Marina throughout the book but He Never told her !

So she never knew how he really felt.

I truly get the sister connection, between Marina and her deceased Sister Veronica , and The fact Koskov was married to Marina sister b4 her death but once Koskov, told Marina about her sister and his relationship with her and it wasn't a love thing, Marina should not have dwelled on about it after knowing the truth. Either party didn't love each other.

She made a mountain out of a mole hill about it. Butttt,,, Koskov, never told Marina he Loved her so there's that to consider as well.

It's a Good Individual Story.

It can be listed to as a stand alone or in the series .

but If you chose to listen to it in the series, You will get the references made from some of the other characters that happened in thier books, And Have a better understanding of how these men Behave. lol

Aside from my Preferences, I do think you will like this book.

Just a heads up...
There is No BDSM in this book if that's what you are into, but there is some anel sex , and there is punishments like in all the books in the series.

Female narrator was awful

I loved this series until this book. The female narrator caused me to have to keep stopping. Tor Thom is one of my favorite male narrators and his parts are what helped me finish. The FMC acted like a petulant child throughout and the ending felt like it was rushed to quickly tie up loose end and it was over. I have to say this was the worst of the series so far.
