Publisher's summary

The invaders are continuing to strengthen their hold over an America still reeling. But in the hills, woods, and countryside small sparks of rebellion are taking hold, fanning the fires of patriotism that will unite the country against a common enemy.

Finally free from the clutches of Fen Shu, President Madeline Tanner refuses to leave her fellow countrymen to their fate. She is their leader and will stop at nothing to protect her people.

While the rest of the world stands by and watches, a few nations decide they must stand against Chinese aggression, and despite threats to their own countries, join the battle.

The Uprising is beginning.

And then?

There’s nothing I hate more than to get to the final book and discover the series ended without completing the story.

A good continuation of the series!

This book was a great continuation of the story! The narrator did an excellent job! I was able to put myself in character as I listened to this book and the previous two. I do have to wonder if there is a book-four…???!!!

Don’t bather with book 3

I enjoyed book 1 and book 2 was pretty good but not as good. Book 3 is not worth reading. Overall the female characters are weak. So disappointed in book 3 I skipped some of the chapters. Lastly as a psychologist I found the psycho babble irritating.

A bit tedious

the story line was ok, but was a bit lite on practical application. From a resistance view point it deemed understandable just not plausible.

Good story, poor ending

I liked a couple characters but this book didn’t really end their arcs well. Does Uncle J find T or vice versa? Who knows. Otherwise good story.

Battle narratives. It’s one of the best popular books that creates an epic with great strategy and combat action.

Loved the suspense, the action, the characters, and characters. A surprising amount of of all that has gone on in the real world since the book was written is predicted in the story.

Left Hanging

Loved this series. I guess the end is left to the imagination, but there were lots of loose ends I wanted to be told about. The abrupt end get 4 stars from me.

I'm sorry..... I had to stop listening

This is a sequel to "The Fall" which was a weak story but picked up enough to make me want to see what came next. But this one is the worst. The idea that after an attack nobody would resist invaders at any level is just beyond my comprehension. Entire divisions of soldiers across the nation would just put their hands in their pockets and kick at rocks because Washington was wiped out? Nuclear silos would just wait for orders? Submarines would only shadow an invasion fleet and not engage? I'm pretty sure there are protocols in place for such an event. Too much planning and planning to make a plan going on in this story. Plus the characters are wooden and unlikeable. I didn't care about them one way or another. Heck, I couldn't remember their names half the time. A huge waste of time.
