Publisher's Summary

This book is designed to help you rise to the challenge and become the game changer your organization needs. Candid insights from dozens of coaches, managers, CEOs, journalists, entrepreneurs, and other elite performers reveal the qualities that make some people stand out, and the underlying theme is mindset.

While talent is a great head start, it is merely potential. Undeveloped and erratically-wielded talent holds little value for an organization. The key to high performance is an intentionally cultivated mindset of success, backed by the bold action it takes to make things happen every day.

This book delves deep into the elite performance paradigm to help you work at the highest levels. The performance spectrum is not about classifying your coworkers; it's about self-assessment, self-reflection, and self-improvement. Everyone has star quality, even if it is buried deep inside. Unstoppable helps you uncover your potential, and upgrade your performance to become the best.

Some worthwhile advice

There are some good points made in the book but there are far too many sports stories. The author almost constantly references basketball and football players and coaches. Additionally, this book is clearly directed at men. I counted two references to women. The first was about a successful man’s wife who inspired her husband. The second was a reference to a deceased women’s basketball coach who was quoting a man the author admired. Finally, some of the author’s points on race and gender are inconsiderate and overly simplified

Well worth your time and attention

Mr Anderson.has written a solid guide to achieving your full potential, starting with and sticking to self-assessment. There is much meaningful material to consider and apply to your own “why”. However, he ends the book with a simple yet defining action that someone can take right now as the first step toward becoming an unstoppable gamechanger- Pick up the trash. This is the mindset of someone who will do whatever it takes to reach his dreams. I saw several reviews that criticized Mr Anderson’s references to his personal faith, religion, the Bible, etc. So what? It was not preachy or sappy. He used the information to provide insight into who he is and how he thinks. It gives the listener greater access to the guy he’s listening to. Nothing more.

Insightful

This book applies to anyone and everyone. Don’t just read it, USE IT! It’s has helped me tremendously and even though the things Dave Anderson says are all things we should already know it pushes you to use what you know and work your way up in life and in business! It’s a reminder that even if you know what you should be doing you won’t succeed unless you do it.

Can’t take it seriously

As soon as an author starts to quote the Bible, I’m done. This book was way too long and the unstoppabullet was annoying every time he said it.

Feedback

Great book. Will definitely listen to this again and again. Probably could have been a little better had Dave read it with a similar passion to his podcasts. With listening to the podcasts and then reading the book I am sure I would have heard the passion coming through the words.

The whole book was great

full of great information from start to finish. I really liked chapters 10 an 11, they are Audible chapters 11 and 12. I also enjoyed Dave's guidance on how to deal with toxic achievers. Since first reading the book I have been able to rid my business of those toxic achievers and create a much healthier and productive work environment!

dull and cliche

Looking for specifics and got contradictory morass. Money spent down the rat hole with author just extolling themself and offering hackneyed biblical quotes as justification. Pease stop the pablum and preferred speaking about actual why. Maybe useful for adolescents?

Religion killed it for me.

I love the first part of the book, found it very motivating with some good points then it started like if your manager treats you badly the solution is Pray.... Then it s all about god and bored me.
