Damian longs for home, but one man stands in his way …

Damian is just seven when he is taken in by foster carer Cathy Glass. His mother, Rachel, loves her three young children dearly, but she is vulnerable, naive and unable to cope on her own.

I love Cathy’s writing style and the fact these are true stories of her experiences. I have learned so much listening to her stories. I feel like I know Cathy. Feel like we are friends. I admire the work she does and admire the heart she puts into it. Makes life make a little more sense.

This story was good. Not one of my favorites but definitely still a good read.

The straight forward presentation...and the human element...peace, love, communication, and what
passes for what is appropriate. I practice on my Husband and my step sons...and my cat!!! I grew up in an environment either abusive or neglective...these books give me wisdom and also I am much happier do in large part to a wonderful husband. Thank you for writing!!!

She is what every foster parent should be!

Like all of her books, her commitment to these children, removed from the only life they've ever known, is really felt by the reader. Her empathy for the children & the parents is so real, that the reader feels minor you're right there with her. Great writer and really shows what it takes to be a caring foster parent!
