Acerca de esta escucha
Innocent is the shocking true story of little Molly and Kit, siblings, aged 3 years and 18 months, who are brought into care as an emergency after suffering non-accidental injuries.
Aneta and Filip, the children’s parents, are distraught when their children are taken into care. Aneta maintains she is innocent of harming them, while Filip appears bewildered and out of his depth. It’s true the family has never come to the attention of the social services before and little Kit and Molly appear to have been well looked after, but Kit has a broken arm and bruises on his face. Could it be they were a result of a genuine accident as Aneta is claiming?
Both children become sick with a mysterious illness while, experienced foster carer, Cathy, is looking after them. Very worried, she asks for more hospital tests to be done. They’ve already had a lot. When Cathy’s daughter, Lucy, becomes ill too she believes she has found the cause of Kit and Molly’s illness and the parents aren’t to blame. However, nothing could be further from the truth and what comes to light is far more sinister and shocking.

Outstanding
Ms Glass’s books never disappoint me. From the very first word to the very last line she draws you in so you feel that you are apart of her family. She does the kind of work that too many people could not. You can feel the love in her writings from the moment she first hears about the child until her very last second with them. Of all her books this set of parents were the cruelest. She loved their kids took care of them discovered what was happening which caused the mother to get the help she needed. Well done Cathy

It is what it is
As this is non-fiction, I gave a 4. Performance and narration were excellent. It’s predictable, or was to me. I respect Cathy so much, but I made the mistake of listening to (DAMAGED) first. Still a good listen. Just save DAMAGED for last. You are a truly amazing person, Cathy Glass!

Another great book by Cathy Glass
This narrator is the same for all of her fostering books. She is excellent!
I'm listening to all of Cathy's books ( in the order they were written) and there's does seem to be a bit of repetitive writing. the books can definitely be cut down if there wasn't so many things repeated throughout the book.

Great book
I really hope the parents of these kids read this book. If it wasn’t for social services taking the kids the kids may no longer be alive and your catching what was causing them to be sick may have continued until died at the hands of the mother. She should be thanking you everyday for the rest of her life.

What a heartbreaking story!
My heart goes out to Cathy Glass and her family for everything they do! I for a short period started to feel badly for the father till I reached the end! He in my eyes was just as heartless and immature as his wife! When you hear these stories they just break your heart! You know that saying Like when you are on a telephone call that you just wanted to reach through the phone and strangle someone well I wish I could have reached into the book and Knocked the daylights out of that father and mother for being so inconsiderate to the woman that Chuck care of their Children in a time of need! You can add the Judge to that too for the ignorant decision he made and can only pray that the kids grow up healthy happy and SAFELY! GOD BLESS YOU CATHY GLASS

Narrator a real problem, see SPOILER
I wasn’t as settled with the ending as I’d hoped to be. But, I suppose that is reality.
The narrator is just not helping these. She’ll read something with a stern voice in a senate e that says “she said gently” or a loud voice when the book reads “he said quirky”. And she reads Cathy as apologetic, sort of frantic, and a bit angry or aggressive when I don’t feel the story shows is that. Also, some of her male voices sound doofy. Just a real turnoff all around.
