Super book

As always Patricia Cornwell has written a tremendous book. Like Dorothy’s story line. I would have liked to have heard more about Lucy. Nevertheless still an awesome story.

Narrator okay

After reading/listening to ALL Kay carpets books I was taken back how the narrator made Lucy sound so young! Almost like she was 15/16 yo. Given Lucy’s personality etc it just didn’t jive. While the story was good it took a while to get to the meat of the plot.

the forensics

hated the useless personal stories. added nothing to the story. this is nothing like her original books.

Worth waiting for!

I really liked the story line and all the new technology mixed in. Plus all my favorite characters were in there.

Knowledge of the details

Loved Kay scarpeta as usual. Such an intriguing character and intelligent character. So detailed. Love all Patricia cornwells stories.

Nice read/listen

Patricia C delivers another great installment of Kay S. W/ a dash of good old Pete M. My fav series of all time!
It’s worth the time and the credit. Merry Christmas!

An In Between Story?

The book is not a standalone for sure which is usually fine. In this case there were so many references to so many characters and situations it was difficult to follow. The “case” was never fleshed out yet it dragged on and on. Too much ground to cover to continue the series.

My 1st book by this author - Loved it!

I don’t usually listen to books with violence but thought I’d try this because of the author’s fame. I was not disappointed. Great pacing and interesting story elements, such as Russian interference and militant dangerous Americans. Very likable characters. I just downloaded another audiobook by her. Recommended!

She never disappoints

This was a really good read. The twists and turns were exhilarating. What a ride!

Poorly researched.

The terminology used by the main character is distractingly out of character for a medical examiner. I would not recommend this title for an adult.
