Publisher's summary

In hindsight, I should not have had that fifth mimosa at Breakfast with Santa.

Or the sixth, seventh, and eighth.

Even if the mic-drop moment that resulted was worth the looks on my former friends’ faces.

For the sake of my children and my pride, I pack up and head for my childhood home and the small town where I grew up. Cloverleigh Farms would be the perfect place for a fresh start.

Falling for Henry DeSantis wasn’t part of the plan.

Sure, he’s easy on the eyes and hard in the bedroom (also the hallway, the bathtub, and on top of his desk), but things between us are moving too fast, and I’m afraid neither one of us is ready for what it might mean.

But Henry makes me feel beautiful and sexy and wanted and strong - things I haven't felt in years. We understand each other, and when I’m in his arms, I’m tempted to trust again. To love again. To let myself be loved without fear.

But deep down, I’m terrified.

Is this all too much, too soon? Or am I a fool to let a second chance at happily-ever-after pass me by?

Loved this story

I have been not so patiently waiting for oldest sister Sylvia Sawyer’s story and it was everything I hoped for and so much more.

After a humiliating meltdown Sylvia and her children return to Cloverleigh Farm to re assess their future and to start over after being betrayed by Sylvia’s cheating ex Bret.

The last things she expects to do is fall for newly divorced head wine maker Henry DeSantis.

The chemistry between Sylvia and Henry is off the charts and smoking hot. As their friendship develops, the banter and conversations got better and better; this may well be my favourite book in the series.

There is humour and this was such a well written and entertaining read that I was completely captivated from the first to the last chapter.

Will Sylvia let down the walls protecting her heart and learn to trust again? Is Henry the man to mend her broken heart? Is Sylvia the woman to bring back the spark into lonely Henry’s life?

Amazing small town romance

This was absolutely incredible! I obviously have to give credit to the author for such an amazing book but I think the male narrator Tor Thom played a big role in carrying this book to the next level for me. Can you fall in love with a voice? 100 percent yes! Add in the fact that Henry was such an incredibly sweet hero and I was a goner! Tor Thom's voice is so deep, smooth and sexy. Seriously I may a bit obsessed! Vanessa Edwin is the female narrator and she did a good job as well... but really this one was all about Tor.

The story itself is a small town romance with two divorcees who unexpectedly find love with each other. Neither of them were really looking because they had such bad experiences with their previous marriages. The attraction was almost instant and the chemistry was incredible. Henry is the ultimate good guy. He was so caring, gentle and sweet. So his sexy, dirty talk in the bedroom and his aggressive uncontrollable lust was a fantastic surprise.

I loved how mature these characters were and the way they put the needs of Sylvia's kids in front of their own relationship. Both of them were so selfless and endearing. The support and love from Sylvia's family and Henry's friends was also heartwarming. I love small town romances for these very reasons.

This was such a sexy, swoon worthy romance and I feel the need to binge this entire series. These are all interconnected standalones.

Great Story, bad male narrator.

I could t wait for the next in the Cloverleigh Farm series. Writing was wonderful & I enjoy the story. Female narrator Vanessa Edwin did fine, she was good. However the male narrator Tor Thom ruined it for me. I struggled badly to get thru this. I found myself skipping his parts couple times cause I just couldn’t listen to him. Which took something from story for me of course.

Wonderful story

The Fourth Sawyer sister's story is Sylvia. She's divorced with two children and moving home to Cloverleigh Farms. She's not expecting to ever fall in love again but when she meets Henry DeSantis again, she feels like she might fall but is afraid of getting hurt and wants to protect herself and her children. Wonderful story and I can't wait for the last sister's story.

Beautiful story; Touching narration

Melanie Harlow writes beautiful stories. I loved it! Perfect listen on a slow southern night.

Vanessa Edwin is amazing. Perfect tone and pace. Beautiful voice.

Tor Thom is ideal as Henry. His voice always sends shivers up my spine and down to my knickers. ;)

Great Story.. However this male narrator is awful.

I love this story. Couldn't wait for it . However the male natrator sucks. Ruined the book for me. Fiished it but it was hard. Ug. He makes me cringe hearing his voice.

Great!

I really enjoyed this story! Their story was romantic, sweet, had me laughing, and of course had a great ending. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the voice of the male narrator. :-/ his version of a woman’s voice and pace was annoying to me at times. Overall, however, I enjoyed this book!

A second chance of a lifetime

Sylvia is broken after her divorce form a 15 year marriage. WIth her two kids she returns home to start fresh. She is not looking for love, which is exactly when she will find it. In comes Henry and the sparks are flying, again. They have a recent divorce in common and it makes them both hesitant to start a new relationship. But their hearts want other things. I loved the sense of family in this story. The strong bonds between Sylvia and her kids really touched my heart. And who does not want a rugged man to rescue her. I fell for Henry the first time we meet him in the story. Sylvia and Henry find healing and friendship in each other before they find love. That makes for the best second chance romance ever.

Vanessa Edwin and Tor Thom bring this story to life. Vanessa brings out all of Sylvia's emotions and struggles and makes her so relatable. She has a sweetness to her voice that enhanced Sylvia's character. Tor Thom has that deep baritone voice that makes any rugged male character swoon worthy. And believe me, I was swooning over Henry! I was completely hooked with this narrating team.

WOW!

Second chances do not come around that often. Melanie Harlow has given us the chance to see Sylvia and Henry get theirs! From the first chapter, with the microphone and mimosas, I knew I was going to love Sylvia. She has guts and that stuff that keeps you going. Now with her impending divorce, she is moving back home with her two kids only to meet Henry. He works on Cloverleigh Farms and when they see each other again after years, there is just that something you can't ignore. Henry too is recently divorced and he knows it's not a good idea to make the move. Her dad is his boss! And it's so soon! But the heart wants what the heart wants. And Harlow delivers a story of love and warmth. This second chance at love has all the realism, from dealing with hurt children to social media to sneaking around! It has humor and angst and passion and steam and I could not stop listening. All the things I love in a story all wrapped up in one! I loved this 4th book in this amazing series!

Give Unbreakable a narration team like Vanessa Edwin and Tor Thom and you instantly know why I was captivated. Edwin is fast becoming one of my favorites. She is able to capture the essence of her characters and bring out all the emotions, and Sylvia was dealing with a lot of them! Add to that Thom's smooth, patient , yet alpha baritone for Henry and I was a goner. He found that balance for Henry's personality and I was in love. This is an amazing team with a performance you won't want to miss.

Marriage breakdown

One of the partners in a marriage having an affair is the ultimate betrayal.
It is heartbreaking as it breaks up the family unit.
Most times the injured partner is not ready to face life alone and they hang on for far too long.
When children are involved it is even worse.

As morals decline, it happens more often.
The cost is prohibitive, but it doesn’t seem to matter.
Self-gratification is the norm.

This is where family is important.
Silvia was lucky she had strong family ties.

So gorgeous 💕🤎

If two people deserve a new beginning it’s these two. From the first time they meet to now they have had this connection but with a Divorce and children she had to be careful. Thank god they just went for it . Her kids made a difference to the relationship. So glad it all came together. Perfect 💕🤎❤️🤎💕
