Publisher's summary

Can’t get enough of gruesome true crime stories and endless turn of events? Then this book is for you.

In the following true crime anthology, you will be introduced to some of the most tragic crime cases in modern history. The 12 crimes profiled in this volume will keep you listening, although sometimes due to the shocking nature you will undoubtedly not want to listen....

The primary theme of this volume is youth violence and some of the factors that have driven kids to kill. Some of the reasons were as shocking as the crimes themselves, such as the case of the two 13-year-old boys who killed one of the boy’s grandmother so they could buy some marijuana and have a pizza party. You will also listen to tales of teens who killed just for fun, such as Don Collins, while the motives for other teen murderers remain a mystery.

The tragic case of the murder of the Doss family highlights that sometimes people, even teenagers, don’t need a reason to kill. Along with the profiles of teen killers are other chapters that examine cold case murder mysteries and other cases that can only be described as strange or bizarre. No matter the content, each of the 12 chapters are riveting and will keep you wanting to continue to listen.

So come along for a journey into the depraved criminal mind. The world you are about to enter may frighten and shock you, but you will also be intrigued as you learn what makes some of the worst killers tick…

Hug your kids tight before and after listening

Second true crime book I’ve listened to and quite a bit different as this focuses a little bit of time on 12 different cases and not just one individual. They all have a common thread of involving children. As a father, I have a really hard time listening to stories about crimes committed against children, fortunately there are only a few here. As a parent, I get angry listening to stories about bad children committing crimes. So all of these stories were invoking all kinds of different emotions within me.
For a newbie to true crime I really enjoyed this anthology. It told enough of each story to get me interested and act as a nice introduction to each case for me to get intrigued and then go do further research. I hadn’t heard about any of these killers and was constantly pausing to look them up. As a person who believes that safety is one owns responsibility, listening to these stories really made me realize how anyone, even unlikely suspects, can snap and start killing. Made me think more about safety in everyday situations. I definitely want to go back and check out some of the early anthologies, providing they don’t make me even more paranoid.
Kevin Kollins is a great narrator for this type of book. First time I had listened to him and hope it won’t be the last.

Great True Crime, Chilling, Great Book!

I found this very intriguing, I'm a big true crime buff and really enjoy these types of books. It's even more shocking/creepy when it's young people doing it.... it's hard to imagine such horror coming from such a young mind. I really enjoy reading about what makes criminals' minds tick, and this was a great addition. Enjoyed the writing and narration, if you like true crime I think you'll like this one. Give it a listen! Not too long, great for the commute. :)

Informative and real

I was cruelly disturbed by what these children did or planning to do to other children, I know children are capable of crimes, but some of them have no conscious or regret for their crimes.

True Crime Stories

True Crime Stories Vol.10:
Jack Rosewood

This edition of True Crime Stories main focus is on youthful killers.I listened to this the same day as Texas school shooting I can't say ironic because it has become so frequent an occurrence. The author gives us a good bit of information on twelve different cases, without being redundant. I look forward to what cases will be featured in the next book.

The narration was well done. Kevin Kollins does well with this genre.

Great read

True Crime Stories: ... Volume 10
Author: Jack Rosewood
Narrator: Kevin Kollins

This book was a very welcome change from my usual true crime reads. The more true crime I read the harder it becomes to find cases I have not heard or read about. While not all 12 cases were new to me, many of them were. The focus of this anthology is crimes committed by children which always brings up more questions than answers for me at least. All 12 cases in this book I believe have been respectfully written about by Jack Rosewood and the performance of narrator Kevin Kollins makes this a great overall book. We all have our different reasons for reading true crime and sometimes we forget this is real life and these are real people. My heart goes out to everyone effected by these crimes. If you are reading this review and considering the book I recommend giving it a listen.

very informative

This is a true crime book about 12 real murder cases. The murders in this book are children. This book is a bit hard to listen to at times. The case of Jeffery Franklin is really hard. He premeditated killing his whole family, but no known reason for doing it.

The book is pretty in-depth It gives some before during and after facts.

I would of liked a different narrator. Kevin Collins wasn't terrible but he was just reading a script. There were no feelings or emotion put into the reading.

Another great Jack Olsen book.

Not much else to say. Jack draws you in and Kevin is really bringing it to life. I recommend this and all his other books if you are interested in crime and some back story. I received this book for free in exchange for a voluntary unbiased review.

Victoria Palmer's Review.

True Crime Stories is like getting the thorough facts of a news story, but told with heart and brought to stunning life by the narration of Kevin Kollins. I was blessed held captive by the suspenseful thriller form each case was presented with. Very well done. I recommend it to all True Crime buffs and fans.
