I’ve been waiting for Kathleen Early!!

Excellent as always. I’ve been holding out on this book but it’s worth the wait!

The twists and the story line was amazing

I liked the entire book. i was confused by the amount of characters introduced but it came together

Masterfully Read by Kathleen Early

I've read this book with another narrator, and although I loved the book, I didn't much like the narrator. Karin Slaughter has smartly decided to have it reread by Kathleen Early, who narrates all the other Will Trent books. What a difference! Listening to it with Kathleen's narration made the book so much more enjoyable.
This book introduces us to Will Trent as well as Angie Polaski, who plays a major role is several later books. Also introduced are Leo Donnelly and Pete Hanson, who play minor roles in future books. And who could leave out the inimitable Amanda Wagner, Will's boss, tormentor, and weirdly supportive presence.

The twist is worth the read. Trent is a great character you can relate to.

Very suspenseful! Every detail was well written and made me feel as if I were there in the story myself

I have enjoyed watching the tv series so I wanted to listen to the books and this first one did not disappoint!

It was good! I’ll continue the series! Kind of predictable, but definitely enough twists and turns!

Love Kathleen Early’s narration!

I’ve loved this incredible book for a long time, but the previous narrator didn’t do it justice. Early is tuned into Slaughter’s writing style and channels Trent perfectly. Worth purchasing a second time!
