King Me

This story was very well written. It has just enough of everything and the voice actors are perfection. I’m ready to go from a little mouse to a full grown cat…meow

the readers voices helped me feel the emotion in this book.

the way the narrators put the emotions into their voices as they read this book was so perfect that I couture it off. it was a perfectly written book that was read perfectly to me.

I was excited for this book as it was all over booktok as I was looking for a little novella in between some books!

Overall, it was an OK listen (read).

Did I love the book? No.
Did I enjoy the storyline? Sure
Was it predictable? Yes

This book ventures into HEAVY abu$e topics and overcoming the struggles. I love Grayson for Tessa and was happy they got their HEA! I will say, I had to completely skip over a chapter as it was just too heavy for me but luckily I understood what happened in the scene for it to be brought back up in later chapters.

Please note: I came into the book knowing the TW but even then it was HEAVIER than expected!

Voice narrators did an excellent job and appreciated the duet narration.

Wowza. I love the male audio voice. Gritty and low and dark and sexy. This was a good one. Definitely had some darkness to it. Sexy spice. Sucks she lost 2 babies. But glad she’s prego again. He will protect her always.

Good but abrupt ending

The story overall is good but there's too many abrupt changes and ending as well. I had to rewind a few times to doublecheck that I didn't miss something

Better than I expected

Well written. Loved the story. I liked that they didn't instantly fall in love. The narration was perfect!!!! I've never loved all the narration in a book...but this was perfect!

The Premise Is What Spoke To Me

Mind you, this is my introduction into not only dark romance but also Audible books. The female voice was on point but the male voice lacked. Idk who decided that all men need to have a deep deep voice for these things but it's just not true. I couldn't feel the emotions in his voice and it often sounded very robotic. I did enjoy the story though for the most part. It appealed to me because I too have lived a life full of trauma and abuse. I guess it's a universal idea (esp for those of us with daddy issues) to have a big dangerous man to swoop in and take care of us in ALL the ways is tintillating. Esp when the woman becomes that mans weakness... Are they all a little cheesy though? haha Despite the cheesiness and the male voice, I do find myself curious about the sequel!

Too short, but a good listen. Honestly wish there was more spice, but it’s worth the time to read.

Not a bad listen at all. But I was personally expecting more out of it. Very predictable ending.
