Five friends, gamers for life, gather for their usual game night. Yet, when they use a strange new die they are transported to a fantasy world where all gaming ideas can come true. Together, the party must join forces to deal with the vile Necrolord whose plans will not only threaten this world, but Earth as well. Should be easy for a team of adventurers, but when gaming and real life meet, there are situations which cannot be anticipated.

A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Into a world filled with creatures both mundane and magical, a world where evil lurks beneath the waves. It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. A world on the precipice of the apocalypse. A secret forged in the flames of war. A chance to start over. For John Sutton, only one of those three things matters. Retired from a decade of brutal war, he wants nothing more than a quiet pastoral life while he does his best to stem the steady increase of his Doom Points before they hit 100, signaling the start of the end. Then, in the middle of a class trip, Gabe finds himself spirited away to Regaia: a world of magic, mayhem, and nerd-tastic adventure. Naturally, he’s completely ill-prepared. Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer, wakes upon an altar to find himself incarnated into the overweight body of a farmer who could have been his fatter twin. He’s not the hero. He’s not the villain. He’s certainly not the chosen one who is there to save the world. He’s a clerical error. It could be a bad joke, but apparently, it happens so often that they have a standard procedure for returning you.

Story
An inn is a place to rest, a place to talk and share stories, a place to find adventure, or a starting ground for quests and legends. It is in this world, at least. To Erin Solstice, an inn seems like a medieval relic from the past. But here she is, running from Goblins and trying to survive in a world full of monsters and magic. She’d be more excited about all of this if everything wasn’t trying to kill her. But an inn is what she’s found, and so that’s what she becomes; an innkeeper, who serves drinks to heroes and monsters. Mostly monsters. But it’s a living, right?

Publisher's summary
With every day that passes, the Dark Overlord grows stronger.
For Ordinal to be safe, he must be stopped. As Windfall's army grows, so does the hope that Jim will prevail.
Jim's got other problems, though, including an inside-out demon, an elf plague, missing townspeople, and a lonely badger.
With Jim gone, Fenris tries to hold down the fort, but he has an Assassin running free in Windfall and a prickly pair of royals to deal with.
Does Ordinal really stand a chance against the ever growing darkness?

Not screamy, good entry
Some reviewers complain about too much screaming, yelling and just plain bad narration.
Those people have bad taste. Are these the audio editors that make dialogue whisper quiet compared to the music?
This is a solid entry, it *IS* funny and I can only wish there were more stories with such good narration.

Narrator poorly performed this time
So much screaming and screeching. Narrator speaks at a soft volume and then starts yelling for no reason. Very obnoxious. Plot is by far the weakest and most tedious. I like the series, but this was bad enough to kill of my interest

Farewell Jim
I've relistened to the noobtown series 6 or 7 times and I usually stop at noob game. probably won't relisten to this one either. The performance is very well done and I've been excited to spend a ton of hours with the characters, but it looks like my time with them has ended. Thank you to the author for bringing the story as far as you did.

Too much yelling and nasally annoying voices
This is the first book I've had to lower the volume for and that had to be done multiple times with earbuds and on phone speaker. It seemed like almost everyone was speaking like a valley girl or whining too. I like the series, but I had to take 3 breaks to finish this one and it's another first through third for me. This one just didn't land for me

Best one yet
So far this is my favorite of the series. The recurring themes and jokes from previous books are back. The author pulls out jokes from a book or two ago and makes them into full plotlines in this book.
This book definitely has the feeling of a storyline coming to its conclusion in the next book. The final cast of characters for the big fight at the end are set up here.

Bloody Noobtown should almost bring me to tears
I love this series, every book has made me laugh out loud and have to explain to people in public Im listening to a book. The narrot and author obviously have great chemistry which comes across, hell I never want to read these books as there are so many jokes designed for the narrator.
but ot go back to my title, this is not a serious series, Jim always struggles with remembering this is a really world, BUT my god when you jump into the point of view of people in this world, it truely becomes a real world to them and I now get Sir Dalton, come on dude by now you can trust Dalton a little

Ryan Rimmel couldn't fail if he tried
Great from start to finish I honestly think Ryan couldn't fail if he tried. for the narrator I do have a tiny critique, for the some characters like beakatrics/the progentior the pitch could get a bit over the top. That said I can't think of a single narrator who could do the job better than John. the voices are top notch and fluent even with so many characters he still manages to make each and everyone of them unique.

Lol
The only series that literally makes me burst out laughing out of nowhere, can't wait to see where the story is headed to now.

Not quite as good as previous entries...
...but still great.
Jonathan McClain is still excellent (as always) as the narrator. He couldn't be more perfectly cast for this series. I found the story a little wishy-washy though, jumping from place to place and between characters so often, it sometimes got confusing and hard to follow. But I don't think I'll ever get tired of these characters and Rimmel's humour.

Another fine entry for the series of Noobtown.
The story is fine, but it is mainly the vehicle for some cracking jokes and comedy.
The narration is awesome.

Hopeful
Normally I love this series, however this particular book has left me feeling so-so about it. Nothing in particular jumps out, I just found myself drifting away from listening to it as I normally do. Fingers crossed the next one reels me back in

Can't state how much I love this series, especially the relationship between Dumb Dumb and Dumb Dumb

chill bro, chill
I've listened to all the books in this series, so pre-ordered this book months in advance..
I do love this series.. and the narrator. BUT... for some reason.. the narrator goes full crackhead on this book specifically. It was almost too much, annunciating every little thing.. even in areas of the book that would have benefited from less extreme characterisation. There's also so many times in this book where he's so busy furiously reading the lines.. that the voices for certain characters bleed into others in the same scene. he's a good narrator and has amazing talent with voices. but narrates this book in a completely different way to others in the series. A little too over the top, which detracted from a lot of the book for me.

A book full of references
The first 6 books were excellent, but this book while also a great listen, has too many references to other things, too many.

hilarious as always
I can tell the narrator is slowly going insane. I have had to cover my laughter a lot because I would look like a mad man to the people near me. can't wait for the next release

Story
After dying and being reborn into a world that's built like a video game, Jim has found himself stuck in a very old-world style new-player zone for low-level adventurers. Unfortunately, the zone fell out of use centuries ago, and no one told the monsters they were supposed to take it easy on the Noobs. Even worse, the only new player around is Jim. Jim has been given an opportunity, and he'll do his best to take advantage of it.
