She’s done it again

Brynne Weaver has once again beautifully crafted a story of ghoulish gore, steamy smut, and fantastic twists and turns. I am such a fan and will continue to be one.
I’ll be helplessly twiddling my thumbs for the next book (it’s soon… right?!)
Never stop. You’re too talented.
Also, my love of adorable old men and quaint towns made me feel like this book was perfectly crafted just for me. How dare you exploit me like this.

I’ll admit, I might be a little biased—Butcher & Blackbird is one of my all-time favorite books, and Tourist Season is set in the same world. We first got a glimpse of this side character in Brynne’s novella Love & Other Killers, which felt like a little appetizer leading us perfectly into this story. This was my most anticipated release of the fall, and it absolutely did not disappoint.

Brynne Weaver has such a gift with her writing. The wit, the charm, the sharp edge of her dark humor—it’s all here. She’s one of those rare authors who can make me tear up in one scene, laugh until my stomach hurts in the next, and then immediately fan myself through a spicy moment. And let’s talk about the spice—Brynne writes it so well. It never feels overdone or unnecessary. It always deepens the characters, the tension, and the overall story.

And the story itself? Incredible. Like peeling back an onion, each chapter revealed another layer I didn’t even realize I was waiting for. The banter is peak Brynne Weaver—smart, quick, deliciously addictive. Even the side characters shine (Morpheus, the little murder bird, completely stole my heart).

This book is everything I hoped it would be and more. I know it’s one I’ll come back to again and again, just like Butcher & Blackbird. Brynne Weaver proves once again why she’s an auto-buy author for me.

Hilarious, Steamy and Hooked

I was looking forward to this continuation of a Butcher and Blackbird character in their own world and this book did not disappoint. The humor was there as it has been in the other books, the twists, the emotional moments, it was just well done and I am looking forward to the second book.
Listened to the Audiobook in 24 hours and loved the actors.

Will read a thousand more times for Arthur

Everything about the story is amazing. Characters, humor, and story. I wish I had an Arthur in my family. He is the best character and when he appears a giant smile appears on my face

Brynne weaver is killing it

Once again another awesome book!! I loved reading about Harper and Arther. My father has dementia and this hit home. :-) but I love it so very much ! Can not wait for book 2

I love the twist and turns and how it does feel different from her other books but also fits in

I love Brynne's ease of writing and her ease of characters. The voice over is SPOT on with each delivery and emotion and I caught myself chuckling a couple times out loud and how real the reactions were.

The snark is strong

A bold blend of sarcasms, small town charm, twisted trauma, and surprises. Fabulous story and standing ovation to the narrators!

Great Audiobook narrators, fun story!

I love the story, and the narrators did a great job! I laughed out loud more than once! My ONLY gripe is that the phrase “wiped a knuckle under her eye” appears far too many times. To the point that I was getting annoyed as hell by the 5th time I heard it.
