A fight he must win...

Piper Oliver knows she can't trust him. They warned her that the tall, dark, and sexy black-ops soldier Jory Dean would try to win her over with his steel-gray eyes and deadly charm, but she won't be conned by this man they call a traitor. All she has to do is figure out the science necessary to save his life, and she's done. Something isn't adding up, though, and she won't rest until she uncovers the truth - even if it's buried in his deep, dangerous kiss.

A passion she can't resist...

Jory will do anything to reunite with and save his brothers - even kidnap the gorgeous woman who's working to deactivate the deadly chips in their spines. But the forces determined to destroy his family won't let them go so easily. Keeping Piper alive is more than he bargained for - and so is his burning desire for her. But with every second bringing him closer to certain death, can he afford to lose himself in her hot and willing embrace?

The Tough Sweet Geek loves the Smart, Sweet, Lost

"Have hope...I'd rather have you!"

This is somewhere between a four and a five star book. It was action-packed from chapter 1. Not a dull moment and it was everything I had been waiting for. What a way to close out a series, with a bang. I didn't think Rebecca Zanetti could pull off a second awesome series finale in such a short time. Marked was such a fitting ending to the Dark Protectors and Zanetti turns around a few months later to hit another home room with Jory's book.

This series cements Rebecca Zanetti as one of my favorite authors. Her stories deliver action, great characters and always a family connection that leads you to root for the main characters. Jory was just as fierce, loyal, strong and brave as his brothers. Piper was feisty, smart and perceptive. She was a really likable heroine. These two fit together and their attraction was awesome. They are my second favorite couple, after Shane & Josey. I loved how the conflict was resolved and I was impressed with the narrator. The voices worked and I think fans of the series will be pleased. I had no trouble following the action as the narrator kept a great pace.

Must read the whole series but worth it!

This is one of those books where you really need to read the entire series to fully get just how great the story of these brothers is. That being said, I highly recommend you stop whatever you are doing right now and read (or listen) to every single book in the Sin Brothers series. There are 4 in all. Start at book 1 though. You really can't skip around on this one. It's like reading one long book broken down into 4 different brothers, by book. I can't speak highly enough about how great this book and the entire series is.

Dumbest Smart Girl Ever

I enjoyed the series and I liked Jory's story, but Piper has to be the dumbest supposedly smart girl ever. If I didn't want to know how the series ended, I would have given up just because her stupid made me tired.

Love the books!

While I love the books in this series, I seriously struggle with the audible performance. Why, why, why does the narrator need to turn all these seemingly strong women into simpering whining idiots?! Even when she is reading a part where the heroine is speaking in a strong manor, the voice she uses whiny. Ugh. It makes the story so much less enjoyable.

Good series

I really loved this series. The characters were all very well written and you could feel the emotions that they went thru. My only problem for me was the ending I would have liked to see further in the future instead it was over in the present and left somethings unresolved. For the most part though it did tie most of the stories up.

Total Surrender

LOVED IT!! Enjoyed the narrator. The characters were excellent. The writer had you feel like you knew them and I could hardly wait to read each chapter. I hope Rebecca continues the series with finding the other brothers with the same narrato. I listened to these every chance I had. loss sleep but worth it.

Enjoyed the book, suffered through the narrator.

What didn’t you like about Karen White’s performance?

Karen White says each word like she is going off a cliff. Not everything needs her sense of urgency.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I couldn't take the narrator that long at a time.

Not the best book of the series.

This was the fourth and final book in the series about four genetically engineered brothers and the man who wants to control them. I think it was the weakest of the lot, both in the romance department and the plotline. It’s not bad, just not as good as the others. The romance is the insta-love sort, and not really convincing.

There are some massive plot holes, for example:

• The H sends his exact geographic location to his brothers, even though he had spent hours wandering through the forest looking for shelter, and had no way of knowing his precise location.

• The brothers land a helicopter in the middle of a dense forest, during a violent storm. A forest contains trees. Lots of them. Helicopters do not fly in violent storms.

• H muses several times that he just needs access to a computer to deactivate kill chip in brothers, but when he escapes, he then sends h back into complex to find computer data, to deactive chips.

• The H and h on the run manage to escape bad guys. But we later find they both have trackers imbedded in their bodies. So why did the bad guys take so long to find them?

• Highly sensitive, sought after information is kept on a hard drive? Nobody does that anymore. Then the hard drive is shot but still works?

• The H gains secret entrance into a highly secure facility by hiding under a blanket in the back of the car. Really? Later on we find that a suburban housewife gains entrance to a secure facility by claiming to be selling yoghurt??!

• And the weirdest part – the brothers use a digger to dig up a coffin (under gunfire!) to rebury it elsewhere. They then travel with it in the helicopter. Am I the only listener wondered about how badly it must have smelt?

This book is the final in the series and it is a disappointing finish. As a stand alone it would be confusing so you probably do need to have read some of the previous books to understand the plot fully.

There were, however, some lovely touching moments between the brothers, and the overall plot and quality of the series was good. The ending chapters were decent apart from the unnecessary “does he really want me to stick around” musings by the h after the H had made it quite clear, several times, that he wanted a future with her. It was also a little annoying to have an obvious set-up for future books put into the last chapters.

I would definitely recommend the first book in the series. This one? Its ok, but I won't be listening to it again.

Just like the staff room at work

I have finished all 4 books now and I feel as though half the time it was just like sitting in the tea room at work, listening to the problems with everyone's husband, boyfriend, mother and father. Thank heavens there is not a fifth book or next there would probably be 'the kids are not paying attention to me' anguish. However because the action and plot was so good I have continued, and mostly enjoyed, all 4 books. Maybe if I did not hear about my respected co-workers lives so much I would have appreciated the emotional turmoils more, but I read to escape, not feel as if I am at work. If you do not mind the internal turmoil please read these books as they are otherwise excellent. I appreciated the twists and turns and really enjoyed the action.
