Throttled is the first book in the Dirty Air series Lauren Asher. As a Formula 1 fan I was excited and nervous to start this series, but it delivers and I’m looking forward to reading the next installment!

Maya joins her brother Santi for his first season with Bandini, a top F1 team. She doesn’t plan on falling for Santi’s teammate and rival, Noah Slade. I loved all the F1 content, the positive therapy representation, and the spice! This is a fun, fast paced, steamy sports romance!

ROMANCE FOR THE AGES

I loved every moment of this book. How he helps her get her YouTube channel going and advocates for her and goes to therapy without her asking to find out why he pushes her away. It’s just sweet and romantic!! And don’t even get me started on the spice 🥵🥵🥵.

Such a good ending

I love how Lauren brought the video and vlogging aspect full circle even at the end and I loved Noah’s growth as a character

My first F1 Series

I think this is the first F1 book I've read and I definitely enjoyed that scene. Noah is an amazing F1 racer and now he has a new teammate, Santiago, who he does not have a great relationship with. Santi's sister, Maya, is traveling all over with Santi during his racing months. Noah is definitely intrigued by he but Maya isn't looking for something casual. I didn't quite feel the chemistry between the two of them. I also hate when a main character is very interested in someone but then goes and sleeps with someone else. And that definitely happened in this book and I was annoyed. I also hate how Noah supposedly goes to therapy and changes his ways but it doesn't really show us any of that. All that being said, I'm still going to read the next one.

I did listen to the audiobook of this one. Aiden Snow & Ramona Master did a great job. This was the first audiobook I've listened to narrated by Ramona Master & she did a great job with the personality & emotions of Maya. Aiden, as always, was fantastic.

Love this steamy, new age, and committed story!! So good to have the baseline be Formula 1!

I haven’t read many racing books, but this one was so well done. I don’t know much about F1 but Lauren Asher did an amazing job weaving it into the story to make it understandable. Noah is so amazing I loved him from the first moment and Maya’s videos were such a great add in. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

Didn’t like female reader

I skipped ALL female reader. Her accent was nail on a chalk board. It was hard to listen to her. Therefore, I didn’t get the whole picture. Hence three stars.

The effort to bring the characters to life

The audio had a squeaking sound in the background that was distracting but overall I loved the story and the narrators were amazing.

Idk why people are saying the narrators are bad but I have bought 118 audio books on this app. I’ve got to say they did a great job!!! I’ve heard horrible narration and these two blew me away!! Can’t wait for the next book! The story was great! Can’t wait to have more from Lauren Asher!
