Twisted Mystery

This was well written. action-packed, fast paced , twisted mystery of burglaries and then murder keeps the new detective Claire Redding on their toes. The criminal was a surprise. Grant Love has a wonderful Scottish accent.

A complex mystery thriller ride

Received as an audio to review from the narrator Grant Love, this is an honest review. Grant delivers a great performance that elevates the author's story as you're immersed into the darker sides of crime. A shadowy thief carefully lifts jewelry no one will miss, leaving the police with no real leads to follows. DI Claire Redding knows something as missing, that vital clue to deliver justice; but with each step closer Claire and her colleagues get closer to the truth, none of them could expect a murderer is among their team and desperate to remain a secret... no matter how high the cost is to everyone else.

Highly recommended

stunning

This was intriguing. Some really gutsy moves on the part of the criminal. I would have been ill (if I were the criminal) when the pieces clicked into place!! It's chilling hoe they covered their tracks and were willing to kill. What a revelation at the end. You never know what someone's capable of. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life. I especially enjoyed the accent.

Good 1st Book

I read/ listen to a lot of crime books, so I figured out the criminal within the first part of the story. However this was a well written story and I highly enjoyed it.
Love the Narrator's accent, he did a Great job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.

Best of its genre

This book just grabs you and holds on till the final sentence.
One of the few modern police thrillers that can do that.
Looking forward to the next DI Redding book.
I'd even say as good as Taggart.

They’re gonna figure it out…

In a day and age where police corruption is so apparent, this is a pretty topical subject to listen to. I enjoyed the quick thinking detective work, and the attention to small details which ended up proving that there is no such thing as a perfect crime, even when committed by someone who is used to finding any and all evidence that remains at a scene. Grant Love did a great job, per usual!❤️
