Publisher's summary

Brothers Gavin, Slade, and Dex fall hard for Gavin's new secretary, beautiful Hannah Craig. The oil executives know they must give her time to get to know them before she can choose one...who will seduce the virgin and keep her for his own. But when a dangerous predator begins stalking the small-town beauty, they work together to protect her, abducting Hannah and spiriting her to an isolated hideaway. Once alone with her, none of them can contain their burning desire. Though Slade and Dex don't mind sharing, Gavin's tragic past has put distance between him and his brothers. Now, they're hoping that not only will Hannah love them back, but maybe mend their fractured family as well.

After overcoming her initial fears, the men teach her wild pleasure she's never imagined. She grows closer to each, their devotion melting her inhibitions. Hannah finds herself embracing love with all three men - and hoping she can heal Gavin's wounded soul. But her newfound happiness turns to terror when her stalker finds her. Will Gavin, Slade and Dex lose their woman to a menace that threatens everything they hold dear, or will they finally unite to make Hannah theirs forever?

Kind of fell flat :-(

Okay, I expected basically a Wicked Ties book with 3 men one woman and a whole lot of hotness...just out of the wicked ties world...that isn't what this is.

First off, I have to say, for a book that advertises 3M/1F I expected there to be a whole lot more of actual sex...it didn't happen. Okay, there was a grand finale, but seriously not the hot book I wanted to listen to. The whole book kind of fell flat for me, and disconnected.

Perhaps SB is too use to having the background of other books in the series to fall back on because I felt I was missing something for a lot of this book. There are 3 brothers, 2 are tight and one had to be the grown up so he is a bit disconnected. The two younger one's got into the Dom scene, but that wasn’t really explained. The older one never did, but that wasn't really explained. There were random bits of information thrown about like one having mistresses and paying for their apartment but it was like 2 sentences, why bother talking about it, and she never even made an appearance. Very random things just thrown in the story for no apparent reason.

Then you get to the actual story...and you have to throw common sense out the window, and I hate that! The idea that 3 brothers want one girl...um, okay a bit odd, but I'll go there...but the female lead never once questioned that she would be with ALL three guys? Wouldn't your average girl be saying, hum, wonder which guy will eventually ask me out, but no she had designs on all three from the start, oh and of course she is a virgin with no experience what so ever but although we suffer through HOURS of her inner monologue never once does it come up that she should try for just ONE of them, and not all three....like I said suspend reality.

I liked the narrator though, so THAT was a shinning spot! I wouldn't buy this book though, or even use a credit, maybe worth it if it makes it to the $4.95 sale, but nothing else.

A Basic Menage story

Any additional comments?

I found this book a little boring. A typical 3 brothers fall in love with one girl story. She is in danger from a stalker and they all protect her. The sex could of been more steamy and may of been with a better narrator. It was just ok, not a book i would listen to again.

Hot menage but concerns

MMMF polyamory with BDSM MASTER/slave relationships. A dark romance.

Interesting story and hot scenes with intense longing, passion and love.

Be warned, however, that the characters in the beginning do not follow the BDSM SSC rule for safe, sane, consensual play. The woman says no but is told she really means yes (warning bells) and then she is kidnapped, spanked, stripped, touched, etc. before any verbal consent or discussion of limits or safewords (not cool). One character is purposely verbally hurtful more than once (warning bells). The main characters are let off the hook again and again because they say they're sorry and she loves them (warning bells). If domestic abuse or controlling mates are a trigger for you, skip this one.

My steaminess rating: o-o-omg.

Horrible narrator

I read all of the Masters of Ménage books and really enjoyed them. So, I thought the Audible would be just as good. I was wrong. I tried but Serena Daniels ruined the story. I couldn’t connect with any of the characters and how she played each one.
Sorry, but I will not listen to anymore books narrated by her.

Hot and steamy, but not too complex!

I've long been a fan of Lexi Blake and Shayla Black, so I was delighted to see Their Virgin Captive come to Audible. Their Virgin Captive follows the relationship between Hannah and her three bosses Gavin, Slade and Dex who are brothers. The story is very unrealistic - all three brothers have wanted Hannah since the moment they set eyes on her and abduct her in order to protect her when she is pursued by a stalker (who is fairly easy to identify early on in the book). Having said that, it is enjoyable romance mixed with a healthy dose of angst and also contains a lot of explicit (and steamy) sexual encounters between Hannah and the brothers (both individually and together).

Serena Daniels handled the narration well, and I'd be happy to listen to her narrate the other books in this series. I'd have been happy to spend a credit on this, but as I already had the Kindle edition, I snapped it up at a reduced cost and saved the credit. Please bring us more Blake/Black books, Audible!

Good but not great

3-3.5 stars

This was a good story. I do think things seemed rather rushed though and wish there had been more buildup.

Hannah is sweet but has some spunk as well. She's been the secretary of Gavin for a year and is on friendly terms with all 3 brothers, Gavin, Slade, and Dex. She's fallen in love with all 3 but is very inexperienced and doesn't realize they're attracted to her. When she discovers she has a stalker she doesn't tell them in an effort to be independent and no bother them. When the brothers find out, they don't take it well.

Gavin, Slade, and Dex are brothers and own an oil company. Gavin is the eldest and rather serious. Because of past issues, he pulls himself back from Hannah, feeling he doesn't deserve her. Next in line is Slade who is laid back and usually the diplomat. Dex is the youngest, only a few months younger than Slade. He's illegitimate and grew up in the Foster care system until he was 17 and his brothers found him and brought him home. The brothers love each other but don't always get along the best. Slade and Dex have shared women before and intend to get Hannah between them, hoping to bring Gavin in as well.

When the brothers find out about Hannah's stalker they decide to take her up to their location in Alaska for her safety under the pretense of business. When she refuses to go for business purposes they kidnap her. TBH, none of the brothers handle things very well and all hurt/piss off Hannah. I really wish we'd have gotten more buildup because the beginning pretty much jumps in to things. Others from their company end up coming to Alaska as well and her stalker is in the group. Between dealing with the stalker and the halting start of the relationship between Hannah and the brothers the story doesn't lag. I actually wish it was a little longer (the story takes place over a couple days) because most of what we see is in strife. There are some good times but very little that's settled (except in the epilogue).

Overall this was a good story but I'm not sure if I'll continue with the series.

*note - The narrator was good but she seemed to talk a little slower than I'd prefer and sometimes seemed to over-enunciate words. It wasn't horrible though.

BORING BORING

What would have made Their Virgin Captive better?

IF THE STORY WAS ORIGINAL. SO MUCH OF THE SAME DRAMA. AND THE NARRATION WAS CRAP. IF YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE DIFFERENT CHARACTERS CHANGE THE VOICE PATTERN.

Has Their Virgin Captive turned you off from other books in this genre?

YES

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Serena Daniels?

FRAN JEWLES AND A MALE CHRISTIAN FOX

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

NO

An Okay listen,but not wonderful

Would you try another book from Lexi Blake and Shayla Black and/or Serena Daniels?

Even though this booked really dragged for me, I do think I would give Blake and/or Blake another try. I've enjoyed other things they have done. I think this is just a dud.

What could Lexi Blake and Shayla Black have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The story line was just a bit to far fetched for me. The storyline around the oldest brother especially.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator did an okay job, but nothing spectacular. Did not bring the story to life.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

This book was 90% blah and 10% hot sex scenes..

Former Newscaster?!?

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This story was the weakest of the series. The other stories in the series were much better for some reason. I enjoyed the concept, but the narrator spoiled the book for me.

Would you be willing to try another book from Lexi Blake and Shayla Black ? Why or why not?

Yes! I really enjoyed the last book in this series because the narrator was great.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She was dry, flat, had no skills with voice inflection to express anything. She read the stories (4 out of 5 books) as if she were reading the news, not a book or interesting and sensual story.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment was the dominant feeling for me. The narrator ruined it for me!

Any additional comments?

Serena Daniels should never read anything but the news. She was terrible!
