Publisher's Summary

They wanted to thaw history’s buried secrets. But now an undead army is awake...and hungry for flesh.

Jen Reed longs to reconnect with her estranged father. Given the opportunity to work together on an archeological dig, the young scientist excitedly packs her bags for the isolated Arctic tundra. But she starts to wonder if the village elder’s ominous warnings hold truth when a local turns up with yellow eyes and a strange bite mark....

As the old man’s ancient tale rings in her head, Jen explores a historic burial site and is shocked to discover the dead have risen craving human flesh. With a violent storm bearing down, Jen must find the courage to warn the others before the terrifying zombie horde unleashes unspeakable carnage.

Can Jen stop the feasting corpses before the hunger spreads across the globe?

If you like fast-paced action, terrifying frozen landscapes, and undead slasher battles, then you’ll love M.A. Robbins' pulse-pounding tale.

Great overall, excellent for 1 credit

Occasionally a bit hard to follow, but enjoyed the story as a big picture. Definitely a twist on a basic zombie story.

Not good

Mediocre at best. Story is boring....so very boring. It had potential and failed at every turn.

The narrator also didn’t shine. It’s a one note performance. Also, she mispronounces multiple words multiple times. Google is your friend.

I regret this purchase.

Average zombie yarn

I struggled with this but I suspect that is due to how many I’ve read; I think if this is your first you may have a different experience. It’s an ok story but doesn’t bring anything new to the genre; also plagued with many, many questionable choices by the protagonists.

Below Average Zombie Tale

Just another zombie tale that mainly suffers from a robotic narrator. Start.stop.start.stop...you get the picture. I couldn’t finish it...it was too grating.

As entertaining as Z-nation

Snarky attitude, solid plot, great characters. I would swear this has all the elements of Z-nation, shaken up, and reused to great effect. This could be adapted to be another tv show and I would be all in. Had no problem listening non-stop. Also, all books in one collection, a must have for any zombie lover.

boring, predictable PC craptacular

Zombie fiction is pretty much a genre unto itself. You can find a great deal better than this crappy, craptacular crap-fest. I absolutely hated it and did not finish it. It's derivative, it's PC and it stars a Mary Sue: all the BS trademarks that make millennial fiction completely worthless. Your first clue is zombies crawling out of a hole because... climate change, then Mary-Sue takes over and it goes downhill with all the usual cliches like insane, corrupt military officers, Mary-Sue knowing better than actual scientists what to do and a host of completely incompetent beta males. Save your credits for something that reeks a great deal less than this turd sandwich.

One of the greatest audio books that I have had th

This is one of the most phenomenal audio books that I have ever listened to. You know how some are boring at the beginning and later in the book the plot thickens? Not this audio book. It was full of suspense from the beginning to the end. I loved this audio book because it had a whole different theme to it. Yes, there was a "micro virus" that that started this outbreak but the setting of this book will blow your socks off. The crazy part about it is that I used to live in those places where the book took place. I was scared shitless listening to this book. This book gave me an anxiety attack and could not sleep. I almost read the book in one day. I could not stop listening. I love the endurance of the people, especially the leader of this book. Her name is Jennifer and her cute little ninja friend Zeke was so loyal to the end. He is your typical teenager, but very brilliant. It was sad, scary, full of suspens, and most of all scary as hell. I had a hair rasing experience. I approve this book. You will also get a kick out of what "Jenn" is able to do in the end.

At least I finished it...

I spend at least 6 hours a day in a car driving for my job. I am always listening to a book. The last two years it’s been all about zombies. I’ve literally listened to hundreds of books and this one was decent. Not outstanding like “Prepared” by Courtney Konstantin but really kept my attention most of the time and was well done. I’ve stopped listening to many books right in the middle because they are so boring or are just ridiculously stupid. This series is definitely worth the credit. I’d try it for sure! Good female lead

great but bad

great story with a nice twist. sound quality was poor, it sounds like an old recording with a constant background crackle.
