Not like HC books.

I am almost falling asleep with this one. I have never felt that way about any of Harlan Cobens books before. bleh...
no I am at chapter 10, and I just cant finish it.

Overly dramatized narration

Not as good as his other books.
Boring overall story, fillers and repetitions.
2 more hours to finish this book and it’s getting tedious.
But since I spent a credit on it I will listen to the end.
The Maggie narrator was annoying with her over the top dramatization!

Story was great but the writing was not!

The storyline was great but the writing made it feel like a drag. The description in the narrative felt amateur. Reese’ performance in the beginning was amazing but somewhere in the middle became irritating.

Great storyline and many twists unexpected

Narration was hard to hear at times, had to keep adjusting volume up and down, depending on who was speaking.

The narration of the character Maggie was read at times like a melodrama. Annoying. I suppose it was meant to convey suspense but it got in the way of itself and just sounded corny. The story was also mediocre.

YES!!! REESE & HARLAN

The only thing to dislike is that there’s not another story to dive into! This book was fantastic! Told in a way that left nothing unanswered! I could not stop listening because there was not a single part I felt comfortable pressing pause at. I am positive I could start it over right now and have the same need to continue all the way to the end. Fantastic! Praying for more from Reese!

Reese’s voice was the best part.

Riveting story with confusing outcome. I might reread the final chapter to check whether I missed something.

Audiobook narrators, all were amazing

I loved this story. The story was heartfelt and real.
Deals with several subjects within science and medicine that are contemporary and controversial. Dealt with AI as well and some of its controversies, good and bad.
Complex and compelling story.

Love Maggie, strong smart and determined…..
