Publisher's summary

Violet Royale’s entire life has bit the bullet. Between a cheating ex and her career imploding, she’s one shaved head away from a total breakdown. Needing an escape, she books a small cottage in Maine for the holidays.

When a massive snowstorm promises to keep the outside world at bay, Violet believes fate is finally doing her a favor. Until a rugged, flannel-clad woodsman bursts through the door claiming the cottage is his, and was never listed for rent.

Jamie Kinkade has crafted his life for simplicity. His only priorities are his woodworking business and his crazy, tight-knit family. When he comes home to a gorgeous woman standing in his kitchen—in nothing but his shirt—he quickly realizes a certain meddling sister is responsible for this mess.

The fact that the storm stranded Violet with a stranger seems right on par for her catastrophic course. Except as the snow piles up outside, Jamie’s steady and caring presence has her quickly warming to his irresistible flame.

What started as a much-needed escape quickly becomes everything she’s ever wanted. But with Violet’s track record, only a fool would let down her guard now that her heart is on the line.

Smutty Hallmark Snowed In Romance

The Woodsman is a contemporary holiday romance that very instalove Hallmark style with a heap smut. The small town and the quirky family was an added bonus. Violet’s family was pretty awful to her. She had anxiety and needed to get away from her job and her family, so she rented a cottage in Maine. Jamie came home to find Violet in his cottage and in his flannel shirt. His sister rented out his cottage without his knowledge, stranding Violet and Jamie together during a snowstorm. It has all of the holiday feels, the spice, and it was cute. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Wonderful Forced Proximity Holiday Romance

4.5 Stars

I got myself into a holiday romance mood, and this one fit the bill perfectly. Needing a break from life Violet decides to rent a cottage in the woods up in Friendship, Maine. What was supposed to be two relaxing weeks away from life and her family doesn't quite turn out the way she expected. Jamie definitely didn't expect to walk into his home one day to find a woman standing in his kitchen, wearing nothing but his shirt, saying she rented the place when he know he never listed it anywhere. The only explanation is some scheme from his meddling sister. When circumstances force them to spend a few days in the cottage, it's hard deny there might be something bigger than a meddling family at play.

This was a fantastic start to the series. The introduction to the Kinkades was perfect. I really enjoyed the close family aspect of this story. I love how much Jamie cared for his family, and I love how much they loved him in return. He was 100% the type of person you cares deeply, and the way that came through in this book and the way he cared for Violet was just perfect. I loved the way he supported her and just wanted the best for her. The way their relationship developed over the course of the book was fantastic. There was a slight insta-lust element to the story, but it all worked really well. Violet and Jamie just complimented each other in the best ways.

I also really loved Violet's character development throughout this book. She was a strong character from the start, but I love how she learned it was okay to lean on others and that showing vulnerability wasn't weakness, but strength as well. And I really appreciated how the third act conflict played out. I loved that it wasn't some drawn out thing and that they were able to figure it all out.

This was my first book from this author, and it definitely won't be my last. While I am very eager for the next book in this series, I will 100% be checking out other books from her backlist while I wait for it.

🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻Beautiful Xmas Book! 🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻

First at all, to clarify, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH Samantha Brentmoor narrating as man! Nothing! Yes, I prefer a duet, but she really paired well with Sebastian York! I love her softly voice, both had a stellar performance! The plot made me feel good and warm! It is a spicy Hallmark Xmas movie, which is an excellent choice for the holidays! There are many characters that might develop on the next books of the series! You will love GiGi! Don’t let a bad bully review ruin a good book! Once again, I love Samantha Brentmoor work! I am very familiar with her Narrations.Happy Listening!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🎄🎅🏻

One of my favorites!

I initially read this book over a year ago, and it was one of my favorites, so of course when I saw it was on audio I immediately knew it was time for a re-read! The narrators did amazing bringing this one to life in audio.

Fairytale Romance

If you're aiming for a fairytale story, this is it! Other reviewers have mentioned that they hate the narrator attempting a man's voice, but it wasn't annoying to me at all, and it didn't even happen that much. I usually prefer darker stories, but who doesn't love a light-hearted humorous romance around the holidays? My only complaint is that I wish the story was more realistic, but I suppose it wouldn't be a fairytale if it was!

 Sebastian York ❤️❤️❤️

Sebastian York should’ve read this whole book. The robotic man voice, when the lady was reading, was very unsettling Sebastian York!

HELP My Ears😱🫨

I have heard some poor reading of men voices by women but this one is the worst. Please don’t ever hire Samantha Brentmoor to read any thing that has a man’s voice. She ruined this whole book. I had to skip over every chapter she read.
And I love love love Sebastian and I listen to everything he narrates but even he couldn’t save this one. Sorry Dr. Sharp but I had to give it 2 stars because of miss brentmoor. She ruined your book.
