Good book but...

Overall I liked this series. While I did not dislike this deviation from the usual focus on Charlie and Lincoln, it was a little disappointing. It did tie up loose ends with the other characters. I thought maybe we would get a more explicit wedding night scene in the beginning of this book since the last book kinda lamely ended- maybe it’s just me but to read book after book with sexual build up between those two and not get a proper sex scene was disappointing. Overall the narration was excellent as usual and it’s still really enjoyable. Like the series as a whole and would still recommend it to others.

A very Real Disappointment

I have enjoyed the Ministry of Curiosities Series immensely but the 10th book in the series contained almost nothing (except the Narrator) that made the series so enjoyable. This book attempts to merge the characters of the series into the Alice in Wonderland story. It does this as an artsy attempt that fails to keep the humor that is maintained between the characters.

Story line misstep

I was enjoying the books up until this one. It’s contrived, plodding, and boring. Please get back on track.

disappointing

though an interesting twist to classic Alice in Wonderland, no Necromancy or mystique as with previous books in this series.

End with book 9

I was mad I wasted a credit on this retelling of Alice in wonderland which I could have skipped. The other 9 books were amazing and I loved them. It is Seth’s story which,if you picked out the clean you really know the ending to. The rest is quite literally Alice in wonderland.

Good, but also felt Rushed.

While it was nice to have closure with the Alice store arc, and felt lacking when compared to the other books in the series. Very little of Wonderland was used in the book and would have added more life to the environment and characters. I feel let down after all the build up to Alice finally returning to Wonderland.

I loved it!

This is the final book in the Ministry of Curiosities and is was such a great ending. I loved this one because of the Alice in wonderland retelling. The romance took a different turn than I was expecting but I loved how it turned out. I was rather disturbed by Seth's dark secret and wished it could have been something else but other than that I was pleased with where this story went.

A Surprise Extra Story

I really enjoyed diving in to some of the other characters in this final installment of the Ministry of Curiosities. I didn't want this series to end, it's been my favourite C J Archer series of them all, but all good things come to an end, and this was pretty perfect at wrapping up all the loose ends.
