Funny, fantastical, HEARTh warming.

Read the series a year ago and fell in love. Recently I needed something to distract me. I decided to listen to the audible version while going through my late husband's estate and navigating my new life.
This author has reminded me of the beauty of home, friendships and what family truly means. My husband and I both loved to cook , and food our love language. We felt more fulfilled making others feel at home and safe . To the point that our chilrens' friends called us their second set of parents.
To have a hero, portrayed as the keeper of the hearth and his life partner as the strong adventuress, was not only a wonderful tale, but a beautiful love story. And listening to the antics of the familiar, and shenanigans of the castle's members brought me some much needed giggles.

Throughly enjoyable light hearted clever book. I am really looking forward to book 2. Hope they keep the same narrator.

An amazing story

After reading all three books in the trilogy, it was quite difficult for me to decide on the title for my review, I debated saying a light-hearted story, a predictably unpredictable story, an epic story, or even the story you are looking for. But, none of that is truly accurate, aside from likely the last one. The story is in turns light-hearted and deeply delves into some of life's greatest tragedies. While some aspects of the story are fully predictable much of it and how it gets there are quite unpredictable. the characters and story are well rounded and while some characters are tropes, others are fresh takes. This truly is a story written for people who enjoy good narratives more than simply being another story that's barely worth your credit. for those of you complaining about unnecessary details, they come into the fore in the second and third book, in fact I can't think of any detail that is not there either for a narrative purpose or an emotional impact at some point in the story. If you like any of the related genres, you are likely to like this book. it was an amazing listen, well narrated and packed emotional punches of multiple types. Delicate issues were handled with obvious emotional insight that put you in the characters places, and lighthearted moments equally draw you in. So, if you are still reading this review, just buy the books, the series is worth it.

A Fantastic Fantasy of Fun with Heart

A fantastic fantasy of fun with heart. I was looking for something fun and interesting that was the same old thing I listen to and boy I got it. At first I was worried because I thought I ordered a mm romance! But the story is so good, the characters so well written and the narrators acting is off the charts that soon I knew it was fate!

This is a delightful humorous fantasy. Great story, Great Series, so enjoyable! Can't wait for the next one.
