great book

very fast paced and intense. loved it !!! I hope another book in the series is coming.

Good flow throughout the story

The pace of the story as well as the character development throughout the series was well thought out, and clear; made visualization of the people involved easy and realistic to comprehend. Great listen - kudos to the author and the reader.

Absolutely amazing keeps you totally enthralled!

I have never heard of this author before listening to these books in the series but his work is awesome. I totally enjoyed listening to it and the only thing I would change would be to give us the prequel first so we have that interesting information when we are starting the series. This series is kind of scary as we are going through a pandemic right now that started in late 2019. It is now the end of December 2021 and a new varient is waging war on the world. I hope and pray that we do not find out that this was all brought on by governments around the world or that there is a secret council that wants to rule the world. May God protect us from what has happened in this series and may He heal our land as people humble themselves and call on Him.

Decent storyline - off-putting racism

The story was compelling, however, the repeated use of racist slurs was off-putting. I understand they may be more common in certain groups of people but it made the whole book less appealing to me. It didn't always seem to be just what a character said but ingrained in the story. I felt the story was good but had room for improvement overall.

Good story line with the exception of all the sexual content surrounding the character of Jane.

Absolutely love it!

I loved everything about this one. The storyline was great. I wanted more! Would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves apocalyptic stories.

Good value and almost great story

Hands down a very good value; author was able to tell an interesting story throughout this very, very long story. This is not easy. The major misstep (for me) was another author falling into a trap of telling a story from a view of point that conservatives are the only smart people in the world and liberals are worst thing ever. OMG ! By the way - I am no liberal nor am I defending them. It is just a horrible plot that makes his story feel cheap, shallow, & lack of imagination.

Fabulous story!

I found this audiobook on a sale and decided to try it. OMG I’m so glad I decided to listen and purchase this audiobook because it was a hell of a story. This story has action, intrigue, mystery, suspense and deception it’s fantastic! It kept me on the edge of my seat. It’s had me staying up late to listen.
This story is extremely well written and narrated! I definitely recommend this audiobook! The story has a bonus listen at the end of the story that is a prequel of the book. I just wish it was at the beginning of the story. It would have explained a few things.
I enjoyed listening to this story and again I definitely recommend it to everyone!!

Exciting Thriller

This was my first experience with Marcus Richardson's work, and I can't wait to continue on with the series. The first three books and the prequel provided edge-of-your seat excitement, non-stop action, and great characters. I recommend this series to others who enjoy this genre. James Romick's narration was great and added entertainment to the story. I requested this audiobook from Audiobooks Unleashed and I have voluntarily left this review.

Terrible Narration

There was clearly little research done as simply talking to ANY Marine would have cleared up many of the errors that are abundant here. The narrator, however, truly butchers this one. An AI generated narration would have sounded less robotic! Don’t waste your time here
