Rory and Houston

I fell completely in love with the story of us! The characters were well developed and it had enough twists to keep me interested. This author was new time but I now love her work!

A really good series!

I thoroughly enjoyed all of Houston and Rory's story. There are rich characters and a number of unexpected happenings which I never saw coming. I really, really enjoyed this love story which thoroughly held my attention as the plot developed. This was my first listen to this author but I will be purchasing more!

I loved the whole series

This story was a bit short but the entire series was solid. The audio performance was good as well.

Loved the entire series

I went into this series not knowing what to expect, this author is in my author/book challenge for 2019 and I am happy that Cassia Leo name was on that list. I absolutely loved the story of Rory and Houston. You don't often find yourself with the person you've loved since you were a kid. These two overcame some serious obstacles and it all came down to love, excepting the past and that there are some things beyond your control, and forgiveness. Both Rory and Houston had to not only get past things individually but together. I don't think anyone reading this series will be disappointed.

Rollercoaster!

I loved this series! Such a Rollercoaster of a ride! Houston and Rory's story was definitely a beautiful one.

I really liked this series, but the last book dragged in the end.

This book could have have been shorter. I didn’t finish the last three chapters, but it did resolve everything and was a good read until the last of the book.

Rises to the Top

Good pacing, a solid plot and nothing boring about any part of this story with all the twists and turns. And of course, now we get to the HEA. Be sure to start with book one! This love story shouldn't be missed by any contemporary romance reader. Cassia Leo writes characters with emotion which is why she's a go-to author for me. You know youre getting a story with depth. Add in the quality narration and her books on audio are a great listening experience.

Wow, so real!

This is series is definitely worth the time and distraction. Very captivating and real. I’m happy I made the choice to listen to these books since the entire series was available. Narration was good as well.

Houston & Rory's epic conclusion

4.5 stars for - The Way We Rise - book three in The Story Of Us Trilogy by Cassia Leo. Every question will be answered and every issue will be laid to rest in the last book in this beautifully written, emotional roller coaster of a series. Houston and Rory are sticking to their friendship in order to let the dust settle on all the emotional turmoil they have experienced. Whether or not they ever become more seems to be what every one around them is hoping for.
Rory is initially at a loss with what she wants to do since her book is gone, but her father creates a very heartfelt and meaningful job for her by opening a center in Hallie's name to help other girls in need which is one of many steps to make amends for all that has happened over the last seven or so years. Houston is back at work in the brewery (Barley Legal - best name ever by the way) doing what he can to maintain a sense of normalcy while he and Rory forage this new path.
Everyone around both Rory and Houston rally together to finally get these two where they need to be and it's nothing short of spectacular. In writing only Ms. Leo can deliver these characters blossom before your very eyes throughout the series. We are left with a beautiful love story of two broken and scarred individuals that healed with time, tenderness, and lots of love. Then just when you think that's it there is a fantastic epilogue that is told from multiple POV's that delivers on all the questions. This is one series you don't want to miss.
