Mostly enjoyed

I so enjoy Francine Rivers writing and her ability to use verses in each of her stories without preaching and shows the weakness and frustrations and fears we all deal with.
My area f aggravation with the Caleb story was nearing the end when he was older and becoming more frail and his daughter reached out to him and he was short, impatient and disrespectful...then his sons treated her the same as he did, and then he noticed. Very demeaning actions toward women and that bothers me

We often forget the wisdom and encouragement from the old testament stories. It is a treasure trove of blessing.

Great Re-Telling

Thoroughly enjoyed the authenticity and Francine’s story telling ability. Looking forward to listening to the others in the Sons of Encouragement series.

Old Testament hero

The story is firmly grounded in Scripture. Some of the creative elements were at odds with what I envisioned, but everything was plausible and probably closer to reality than my own uninformed opinions.
