Interesting novel

This had a great story and many links to scripture at the beginning of each chapter. I'm not a reader of the Bible and I don't like it being shoved down my throat but this was not that way. The passges lead you into the story and set the tone. Very well done!

At first I wasn't sure

At first I wasn't sure if this was going to be good listen. Because I don't like to give up on a book too soon I kept pushing on...I am so glad that I did ! I highly recommend it...the story turned around pretty quick and once it did I was hooked!!!

Wonderful Story

I love how the story kept my attention, with so many Biblical references. Yet, there were parts that were not recorded in the Bible, the author’s historical accounts made it all very believable. Wonderful story!

Great story, not great narrator

The story kept my interest, but I would’ve preferred a different narrator. The narrator constantly ended words with an upward inflection when the sense of the sentence or phrase called for a neutral or downward inflection - almost as if everything was a question. She also tended to emphasize words that didn’t need emphasis and not emphasize words that needed emphasis to support the message conveyed by the text. But the story and its pace were good enough to keep me listening to the end.

Enjoyable read!

This is my first read by this author. it was both educational and spiritually encouraging. It made a very long drive quite enjoyable 😉

An ancient culture

The writing was very believable and authentic in how she described the kingdom/castles and the royal way of life with Kings and Queens.

A must read

What a wonderful, captivating listen! I couldn’t stop listening once I started! It’s so good that we have people like Tessa who can take us into imaginary places of the past and let us experience it for ourselves.

Interesting with action

The story portrayed a realistic scenario of what could have happened to make Cyrus acceptable of Jewish culture. A great deal of action and some surprising moments. Enjoyed the story.

The life of Daniel.

Very believable characters. I felt like I knew them well after the completion of the book.
