Worth the read!!

The book contains some gore, some sex, and a whole lot of feelings! I also saw the story in my brain as I listened to it just like I was at a theater. DM is an incredible writer and has a fantastic mind when it comes to hooking you on his books. The ending was completely unexpected for me and I LOVED IT! This is a book I will absolutely listen to again just for the hidden treasures I may have missed the first time!! Thank you DM for a fantastic book and thank you to the talented Alan Turton for the perfect narration!!!

I listened to this without reading anything about it. So I didn't realize it was a paranormal book. I'm usually not a fan of them but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did. it was a great book.

Whoa 😳

The stinky ghost murders were brutal. a very twisted and dark ghost story that is gripping from the beginning. Some of the scenes really had my blood run cold.....spooky.

This is my first read by D.E. McCluskey and I will be reading more.. (Zola is next for me and I hear wonderful things!) as for this one- well done! I found it to be an interesting story and it took me a long time to guess what was going on. The blood and gore was just the right amount to not take away from the story. The ending got me. I was expecting a different outcome but was happy with the way it ended. I liked that it was a scary ghost story but still had an ending that hits you in the feels. Mr. McCluskey is definitely on my good list!

I loved this

I listen at 1.30x speed. I loved the narration! I enjoyed that i could guess some things, but the twists at the end were still unexpected! I love ghost stories, and this was so good. Some gory parts were so well written and narrated that I *almost* had to pause for a break! Exactly what I love in a book. Nothing beats the dark and twisty! This is the second book ive read/listened to by this author and I really loved The Boyfriend, too!

Great Story

DE McCluskey is becoming one of my favorite authors. This story for me started off slow, but then began getting really good. I thought I knew what was going to happen, but I was wrong. I loved the story line and look forward to the next book.

Creepy, gory, and a good story!

I listened to this novel over several sittings, and the descriptive writing, along with the narration was the perfect blend. As the words flowed, I could visualize each scene unfold as if I was watching a movie. There were some intense parts, that had me gasping, but I kept listening, wondering what would come next. I found myself empathizing with the ghost and wanting him to get his justice, while also hoping the main character was somewhat innocent. It’s a twisty, ghostly tale that is worth a listen. D E McClusky has done it again with his writing style that reels you in and keeps you hooked!

Entertaining brutal ghost story! Some gory spots.
Listened to the audio and it was great my only Complaint was when he whispered I could barely understand what he was saying but I enjoyed it!

Ghosts and Gore

If stories of friendship, betrayal and the paranormal are up your alley, then this book should be on your reading list!
I felt like it started a bit slow trying to lay the groundwork (hence the 4 star), but then the pieces all clicked together and BOOM I had to find out more!
The end had me cheering for the murderer, and feeling many emotions for the journey of the main character.
Worth the read!
Thanks DE McCluskey for a hauntingly good time!

i wasn't sure how this one was all going to fall together and kept me guessing until the end it was mysterious and a bit gory and even sexy at times was a great listen DE has never failed to amaze me with his versatile writing he is never just one note and has proven he can write many different styles
