Horrific!! 💜

This was by far the most disturbingly horrific book I’ve ever read/listened too. At one point it was so disgusting I almost questioned my ability to finish it. But I forged on and I’m glad I did. Actually, I couldn’t stop if I wanted. lol
The suspense and mystery as to what was actually happening on the Black Farm and were they really stuck there eternally was so intriguing I couldn’t turn away.
This book was written with a very unique concept of life after death or somewhere in between!
The narration was fantastic. I kept forgetting that there was only one narrator. The sounds and range of characters were amazing.
If you enjoy plenty of gore in your horror reads, I definitely recommend this book.

Amazing

I read a lot of horror/Splatterpunk and this one is in my top picks. The world building is top notch and the story is unique. Definitely recommend.

loved this book, and the narrator was great. it caught my attention in the very beginning and I couldn't stop listening to it.

Couldn't put down

Really loved this. Amazing narration, good length, and fascinating story. Not really a scary book but gruesome and psychological imo.

a book I cannot forget

I often think about this book and so far have not found another horror novel that can compare. definitely worth the read and the narrator is absolutely captivating really kept me immersed

it's over all a good story and good detail. repeats chapter 18 at the end.

disturbing and incredible

I've never cringed so much while reading a book. The description of the gore was so incredibly detailed, I was groaning out loud as I read. Which I loved! The story was so imaginative and well written, I absolutely loved it. One man's hope through all of that.... admirable.

Big error in the audio

During the last 30 or so minutes, there is a big chunk of audio that is fully repeated.. meaning we hear it twice. It was a very annoying way to end the book - you hear the end once, then the story continues just for you to hear it all over again. Not leaving a great impression! I even triple-checked to make sure I heard it right. How many more books will have errors?

Riveting!

While the story is gruesome and trigger warnings definitely recommended, I became lost in this adventure with Nick every second I listened. Not a single dull moment. The chosen narrator’s voice was a perfect match.
