I thought I was desensitized

Until finding Nick Roberts - The Exorcist’s House.

I cut my teeth on George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, I kid you not. My mom was a huge horror fan and she didn’t raise a wuss. As such I can find it challenging to find a story that truly scares me. My running joke is: Go on, scare me. I dare ya! Well I am here to tell you that this story rolls up its sleeves and says to you, “Hold my beer.”

I read the Audible book and for me that was the best way to go. For the narrator, Spencer Dillhay does a fantastic job with the voiceovers and it really added a terrifying touch that just sent my anxiety levels through the roof! I was pacing the floor at times and talking back to the story as if the people in my minds eye could hear me. Lol When you start to act like a loon, you know you’ve got one hell of a novel! Thanks for the scare, Nick! It was fun!!

Almost Didn't Finish

This book scared me so much, I almost didn't finish it. I love books and movies such as this, but I get spooked for days. Narrator did a great job changing his voice to sound demonic, which sent shivers down my spine. I listened mostly during daytime hours. Ok, I'm a chicken. I usually don't go down my basement after 11:00, I hate basements. Now, I may not go down there at all! 😮 lol

Wow!

I had seen this book floating around on a group I am in on Facebook, but hadn't been able to snag a copy. I saw that he had just released an audio book for it and immediately bought it. This is an amazing novel! So we'll written. The atmosphere he gives...is just plain creepy. The narrator, Spencer Dillehay, did a phenomenal job with this as well! Really brought the characters and story to life! Highly recommend giving it a listen! Will also 100% be buying a physical copy, just because I feel like I need to own it in life

it scared me

this book will keep you engaged and probably scare the snot out of you. Solid book

Great story right from the start until the end

This book was great. Caught my interest from the beginning and kept me listening the entire time. Gripping, great story.

GREAT LISTEN.

I’m extremely picky when it comes to audio books. However I must say with this one the narrator absolutely killed it. I was hooked during the entire book. The visuals are so well described I could imagine everything I listened to. This is a must listen for sure if you love horror. 10/10

I'm not typically a haunted house type of girl..

..but this book was written absolutely beautifully! I've been looking for something to grasp my attention, and this author managed to do this from the very beginning. some things were kind of predictable, but not NEAR as much as I anticipated, and sometimes with a twist!

Good for horror lovers

Def made me get goosebumps throughout the story. if you like The Exorcist movie, this is right up your alley. narration wasn't bad, kinda grew on me as the story went on. Would recommend. Happy Listening:)

Edge of your seat good

I loved this so much! Would love to see it made into a movie. I hope there’s a book two in the works. Awesome job Nick.
