Great story!

This was a fun and unique book. Very worth the listen. The narrator sometimes was A bit sleepy, but changing the speed seemed to help with that.

Amazing attention to detail

I have yet to read or listen to a book that goes into so much detail without it becoming boring. This book is amazing and it is easy to follow all the characters. If you have ever lived or visited Seattle, you can visualize the story even more. Well done. I cannot wait for the next book to release.

What a gripping story

If you want a story full of action, demons and magic, look no further. Kirin is a complex character who must try to. control a bloodthirsty ghost in order to save children from a cult of the damned. The characters in this book are relatable and you can't help cheering for the heroes, flawed as they are. Read the first paragraph and you'll be hooked.

This is a fresh, exciting fantasy that drew me in right away and held me there til the very end. Then I was wanting the next book right away! I hope it will be out soon! Wonderful characters that may be far from perfect but I grew to like them, even the "bad" guys. Fun dialogue, great plot, love the dog, and need more now! Don't miss this hidden gem!
Terrific narration!

I REALLY wanted to like this book but....

I'm bummed because I think I would really like this book if there was a different narrator. The narrator of this book mumbles at times when she's reading and her way of reading just completely irritated me. It's hard to explain it, but it was like this for example. She would....... read a few words.....in the......sentence....and.......... then read some more........ only to....... start...... the next sentence......... with you........ realizing........it. I tried increasing the speed but it didn't help.
Every character, regardless of their accent, sounded basically the same. The only character that had a distinct voice was The Ghost.
I also want to add that I wasn't a fan of Kiran's either, but I think that is because when the narrator was taking as Kiran she always sounded nervous and unsure of herself.
Maybe reading the actual book will be a better way to enjoy this book because the audiobook didn't do it for me.

Not even if it was free to read…..

Do not waste your credits. I have been listening to books for over 30 years and this is one of the worst narrations I have ever heard.
Did you know that Indian, Irish, Polish and Israelis have the same accent? This Narrator believes so, although if you are Irish you mumble more, to really give you that authentic brogue.
Unfortunately I’m not even sure I would enjoy reading this convoluted story in paper form.
I am totally disappointed. Don’t be disappointed, stay away from this train wreck,
I have preformed my good deed for today.
