so good!

Aiden Thomas seems to only write gold. this story is no exception. the world is a place I don't know much of, so the mythology was really fun to explore. The story has a familiar track to follow but there are plenty of twists and interest points to make it fresh and fun. def a must read.

Blown away

As an avid spicy fiction reader, I need a story to really captivate me with it is not adult fiction. Aiden Thomas does just that with their natural world building, unique characters, and vivid descriptions of the environment. I am reading all of his books now.

One of my favorite books the story and characters are fantastic. The world building is so fascinating that I just want to know more. Can’t wait for the next book!

Wow.

Holy heck, this story was so great! I adored the characters. I adored being in a world where being trans was NBD. I adored that the author still put in things that are relevant to a trans person’s life, but without the ouch that can come of something because so close to real that it kinda hurts. Not to mention all the twists and turns the story took. The plot was PLOTTING. So. HARD. I purposefully waiting under the sequel was out, and I’m so glad I did because I don’t think I could have survived that cliff hanger. Read this book!

I grew so attached to these characters + honestly, the plot twists were something I didn’t expect at all. A good read overall

Everything! Speculative fiction excellence

A fantastical dream of a pre Colombian society with two thousand years of uninterrupted evolution, queer empowerment, good and goddesses and their babies too, and some heartfelt struggles, triumphs and betrayals; this is excellent. I devoured it!
