I love S.E. Smith

I have read a lot of her books and love all the series, but I am finding it so hard to get past this narrator. They couldn't get the other guy that read for all the other series. This one is okay but sounds a little robotic, making it hard to focus on the story.

I really enjoyed this story. Everything fell into place. Hero really cherished heroine and treated her admirably and with love.

not loving the narrator

I devoured the Dragons Calder series narrated by David Brenin who is great by the way, so I was impressed with the new narrator. But I did enjoy the story. I am planning on starting another of her alien series. Hopefully it will be as interesting as the Valder, Sarafin and Curazon. Crossing my fingers that Valder books 10 & 11 get audio version soon.

Good story bad narrator

I really enjoyed the story of Ha'ven and Emma.

Unfortunately, the narrator was not up to par. A lot of the voices were too flat not much intonation or variance between characters. Some parts were better than others. But on the whole the book would have been better with someone else. I am surprised they did not have the narrator from the Valdier books do this one.

Although, P.J. Ochlan did an awesome job, I still missed David Brenin. Great story tho!!

So Good but the Narrator

I am addicted to these books they are all so Amazing but this one has a new narrator and he's changed all the voices and not in a good way. The book is one of the best and I can't wait for the next one, however please bring back the original narrator she is so good plus she makes the story come come to life. Still the book was outstanding!!!!

Have read this

I have read this book in the past and had to get the audible book when I saw it was part of the romance package. The narrator does this book justice! I love this entire universe that S.E. Smith has created, I need a reading/listening order like I have to look at for Marvel movies! I have also drawn my mom into this universe and she loves it! It’s better if you start with the valdier series first if you haven’t gotten them yet.

the narration is fine

I almost didnt listen due to the negative reviews of the narration, gave it a shot anyway. He's not the narrator of the other books, but this guy did just fine. He does a great variation of many voices for many characters. A few of the warriors were given a cave manish voice, but it wasn't used in the majority of the story. Based on some of the reviews, I thought the whole story was read in a caveman voice. that was not the case at all and I'm glad I gave this story a listen. the story is great and the narration allowed me to get lost into the story.
