Resumen del Editor

Welcome to a world of cursed immortals, broken rules, and eternal love....

Blood Laws
The lines between illusion and reality blur as a dark romance brews between two unlikely soulmates.

Forbidden Bonds
Can two tortured souls find solace and love in one another?

Blood Heart
An immortal war is brewing, and she's the key....

"What are you wearing under this dress?" he asked, his mouth brushing hers, the words whisper-soft.

Not what she expected him to say. "E-excuse me?"

His teeth sank into her lower lip, making her yelp. "Focus."

On what? The demon club? The humans dying downstairs? The fact that you're a f--king vampire? Where should I begin?

He sighed, his forehead falling to hers. "Astasiya, we have very little time to sort this before the Conclave. I need you to work with me. Both our lives depend on it. What are you wearing?"

She cleared her throat, her hold on his neck tightening as if needing his support to respond. And maybe she did. This was all a lot to take in. "A, uh, thong," she managed to say. "And a strapless bra." Both black and lacy, but she didn't add that part.

One of his hands drifted from her hair to her waist, then down to her ass. His palm flattened and forced her to arch up into him. A breath hitched in her throat at the feel of his growing arousal.

He's turned on...here...now?

She trembled, the heat of his body seeping into her cool skin, warming her blood. They were standing rather close. And he smelled amazing, as always.

Anywhere else, in the dark, she'd have kissed him.

But here....

"The dress will have to stay, then," he said, the disappointment evident in his voice.

She frowned. "What's wrong with my dress?" It hit her midthigh and clung to her curves. She looked good in it.

He ignored her, his mouth brushing hers in a chaste kiss as his hips pressed firmly into hers.

Definitely aroused.

"You're going to see things tonight that will make you want to scream, but you must remain calm and quiet. Mortals who overreact die, and they die badly."

Award-winning and best-selling series. Listen to the first three books now!

Book 2

Does this guy have breathing problems? His deep breaths is to much and so distracting from the story

This was good however,

the made-up names for the types of supernaturals and not explaining what they were (angels & vampires) until after introducing several characters into the story made it a little hard to follow.

Good but not great

First of all, let me say that I have enjoyed the story but I’m one of those readers that can’t stand holes or mistakes in a story line and I hate weak characters, especially the main female ( why make us look stupid???) I liked book one and three much better than 2.
Book 2: would someone who just killed their enemies really take a shower and change instead of running like hounds on your ass since more bad guys are coming?? And of course this gets her caught! No shit!
Also, they have phones, why not CALL her brother instead of all the drama trying to get to him? And then she’s supernatural but scared to get on the motorcycle when the bad guys are right there to kill them! Really?
Book 3: I didn’t like the way he started ignoring her when she turned! I understand blood is what he craves but he acts like even touching her will kill him , when the story says it’s only the blood. I understand the fear of sex and losing control with a bite, but damn, he acts like they can’t hug, kiss, embrace, talk, etc.. he’s willing to just throw their love away because she’s a hydro now. Ugh!
Oh, and of course she was stupid enough to go by herself and not tell any of the immortals or her man what she was doing and this got her killed! Why!!!
Then, theirs the fact that Lizzy hadn’t told anyone about her best friend’s father helping her?? WTH?
Etc.. lots of small but relevant things that the author or editor missed in all 3 books. I’m going on to book 4 now. The set was worth a credit but not sure about individual credits. Will have to wait and see. I’m not crazy about prequels and I’m pretty sure that’s all book 4 is. 🙄

I enjoyed the series and will continue to listen to the next books. It is a lot to keep up with but it’s worth it.

5 stars and more!

Best series Ever! I wish the 4th book was audible but I'm gonna find it and keep demolishing this series. I'm obsessed with every character and can't wait to see the awesomeness of Aya and I'm guessing other angels to come.

Gets better with each book!

There were some things I really liked about this series and some things I didn’t like so much. I loved the fact that each book was narrated by different narrators though I do like duet narration more than dual narration and this was done via dual narration. I also loved the fact that there were great supporting characters and that there were ongoing storylines which included the couples from prior books in each subsequent book. Each of the relationship storylines was great and each couple had a ton of chemistry.

What I didn’t like was how complicated the world was. It took me till the third book to really understand the different types of paranormal people and how they fit into the world. Though I will admit that I took a break for about a month or two between the first two books, so I forgot some of the world building from the first book. There was a great recap in book 3 though.

Performance needs work.

The narration team should be reading the appropriate make/female parts rather than each reading a chapter. You can split the rest depending on the character speaking, That would have made the read/listen so much better.

Whhhhy did I give this a go

I listened to book 2 in the series. It was boring with an insane amount of inner dialogue, but had potential so I figured I'd try this and see if it improved It doesn't.
90% inner monologue. Weak romance. Weak, needy h willing to put herself out there when H isn't.
Boring.
Also, waaaay after meeting h, the H intended on going out for random hookups until she showed up at his door...uninvited...because she's needy and clingy. totally normal to show up at some dudes house to "tell him how you feel with your mouth" after he literally friend zoned you. To you. Like continously tells you that the 2 of you are friends. Yes, you go right to his door, uninvited and pour your heart out to him like some weak needy pathetic DAB.

And DONT EVEN get me started on these authors making all females "virgins". GROWN ass woman who's "never been touched there". grown ass woman who refers to her vag as "there". Because an h being a virgin while Hs are always man whores most certainly makes them worth more than if they were inexperienced virginal pathetic and dependent women. When his friend continously references them "sharing/watching/etc" this DABs inner monologue is questioning "he keeps referencing sharing but to what extent"??!? GTFOH she goes on reminiscing about how she's never done "anything below the waste" . Said friend then approaches her and starts touching her quite seductively, she's not down with it. so what does our nitwit child woman h do?!? Sits there silent and relies on H to stop him.

Worth the credit 👍🏻

The Immortal Curse books 1-3 is full of violence and sex. If that’s not your jam, move on.

Blood Laws (1/27/23)
First things first, the two narrators for this book were decent. They both have good inflections and bring personality to the characters, but they’re not consistent with their accents. Some accents are just terrible, and the female narrator really just isn’t good at any of them.

This is a good book with romance, plot and twists. Definitely a slow burn, keeping you on the edge of the seat. When they finally fully come together though, meow!

Astasia is kind of a pain in the ass when it comes her assumptions. You know that old adage that states when you assume you make an ass out of you and me? I don’t think she ever learned that one. Eventually, she gets it together and starts trusting and not only her own instincts, but in her demons as well.

Forbidden Bonds (1/28/23)

The male narrator in this book is terrible with female voices and accents, like phenomenally bad. I can’t say the female narrator is great, but definitely better than him in that aspect. Fortunately, both of them have great inflection and portray each character in a different way. The conversations are realistic and even the internal monologues don’t sound like they drawl on and on.

Just like in the first book the main female character is just full of terrible assumptions. I understand that she was inprisoned and tortured for years. She has trust issues like nobody’s business, but for the first big chunk of the book, you just want to slap her and tell her that Tom has done everything possible to save her and protect her. So, now I’m thinking it’s just the authors MO. Which isn’t my favorite, I like my female heroins to be more decisive and intelligent.

Overall, I did like the story and the characters in this book. I think it works well with the first book and it has me looking forward to the next.

Blood Heart (2/2/23)

Narration was much better in this last book. They ended up going with the two best narrators and it seems those narrators were more comfortable with the different characters and accents. That made a difference. Or I was just so into the story, I didn’t notice as many narration issues.

Things start to come together in this one. Jason finds his love match in Lizzie. Their sex scenes are really good. She is so innocent but eager. He is so experienced but cannot get enough of her. Oooh, baby it’s HOT! We learn what Lizzie is and we find out who’s controlling everything. I won’t give too much away. All the great characters them together in this one. It was a fun book. I actually wish it was longer. I would’ve enjoyed more detail in several parts of the book.

I really hope that audible comes out with the other books in this series as collections. I don’t like to purchase a book with a credit that is less than 10 hours. It feels like a waste of credit. Time will tell if I cave and buy the rest of the series individually.

A little about why I review.

I am recovering from a brain injury that has caused difficulty for me in many areas including reading, or watching any type of screen. Audiobooks have become the only form of entertainment I can engage in. I started reviewing books in order for me to remember whether or not I should re-listen to a particular book. I fallen into that trap too many times. On average, I listen to approximately 250 hours of audiobooks or podcasts per month. I’m an easy-going person so, if I don’t like something it’s pretty rare. A bad narration is my sticking point though, I will disregard the best book if the narrator is terrible.
