We may not realize it as we listen to the soundtrack of our lives through tiny earbuds, but music and all that it encompasses is disappearing all around us. In this fable-like story three musicians from around the world are mysteriously summoned to Nashville, the Music City, to join together with Victor to do battle against the "Phasers", whose blinking "music-cancelling" headphones silence and destroy all musical sound. Only by coming together, connecting, and making the joyful sounds of immediate, "live" music can the world be restored to the power and spirit of music.

Music is magic

As a musician, the first book of Vitor Wooden had enlightened me so much. I felt everything he said in the book but couldn’t say it out myself. This sequel book is good, not as enlightening as the first one though. The story was a bit too expiatory, the ending was the highlight of this book. I still love it.

This is deeper than an insight to the spirit of music. Waiting on Michael to show up at my door (or Victor) lol....

A glimpse into the mind of an expert

When people reach a certain level of expertise, it's no longer just about practicing. They expand and tap into larger energetic connections to people and events that create and feed their work. This book is about how this works, through the vehicle of a story. I was grateful to have an opportunity to listen to it.

Remembering Who I Am

I really hope he continues to write and record stories like this. An awesome book.

Fun and thought provoking!

As the title suggests, this books tells a story that delves into the spiritual side of music. Through the story that helps the reader find a path to their own conclusions.
Most importantly for me it was enjoyable to listen to. The voices of music legends like Chuck Rainey, Keb Mo, and Victor Wooten (the author) made it even more fun!
