Underlying the isolation, loneliness, and harsh conditions lives the fear that one mistake will result in permanent death.

But if Ruwen doesn’t overcome that fear, and push himself to his limits, he will never leave this place. And the consequences to himself, his friends, and the Universe will be nothing short of catastrophic.

Filler/catch up book

I thoroughly enjoy the story, characters and general flow of the story line. This book was more of a filler, allowing returning readers to refresh their memory of prior books. Still good, a little stagnant for me though. Can’t wait for the next book to come out!

Escape

When another book in this series is released, i know i will get to escape into a journey of adventure. These characters are so well developed that I celebrate their wins and am sad for their losses. True emotion while listening or reading. I regularly check how much is left in the book becoming increasingly morose as the timer ticks to zero. Travis Baldree is brilliant, the story is brilliant. Please do not tarry on the next book.

My new favorite

Scared when I first started reading/listening to this series that there would not be the heavy cultivation aspects I really enjoy…. Man was I wrong… I will say Ruwen is an amazing MC that holds multi faceted talents….

I will continue following this series as it has climbed to the same level of cradle in my opinion… cultivating LIT, action, pain, dark…. Thank you AF Kay for a wonderful Sixth Rune…

Travis as always your work/talent shines so bright. You bring to life the many characteristics of this series.

This makes up for last book.

This book is so good. So good, I forgive the author for the last book. So much happens and twists and turns in the plot that finally weren’t telegraphed through the entire book. I was considering dropping the series after last book, but this book makes me glad I didn’t. Can’t wait to start the next.

Worth the credit

Left me wanting more but slightly irritated due to very little forward movement in story. Narration was brilliant as always.

Great book finaly working on consolidating power

Really really happy about this book and the tone it set, MC has been going BALLS to the WALL and forgoing his powers and losing b/c of it. Happy to get that fixed. The only downside is that we spend alot of the book, travailing, being kidnapped, etc so the pacing of the book STILL felt rushed in some parts. Looking forward to book 7 ALOT.
