You can count on a happy ending with this author

This is my second book by this author and i do enjoy her stories. They are simple stories about flawed people. Lots of secrets that create problems. I could do without the continuous references to faith and praying. I listen in spite of the religion because they are cute stories. I couldn't have a constant menu of it though, after one of her books I have dive into something deep.

Real life..messy, but blessed

Excellent new author

This is my first story by this author, and it was so excellent! I felt like I was there in rural Tennessee with the family through the generations at Old Depot Grocery. Lots of great messages and spiritual lessons. And the audio narration was absolutely perfect! I’ll be reading this author again.

Great women’s Christian Fiction

Loved the dual storyline of GloryAnn, Rosemary and Sarah. The story kept me involved and wanting to continue my drive just to listen to what would happen next in the lives of these women.

At first hard to get into- but once I got to know the characters- I was hooked

Christian Women’s Fiction at Its Best!

The past slowly catches up to present day in this poignant, dual time story of a southern family of three women caught up in the secrets, unvoiced dreams and bottled up feelings that are a part of the Old Depot Grocery.

Glory Ann is the grandma who has fought for her life in many ways so she wants everything to stay the way it is.

Rosemary is her daughter. I have to admit that I didn’t like her at first. But having read the whole story, I now understand why she is stubborn and closed off.

Sara, the granddaughter, is trying to keep from totally falling apart, seeking the next thing while attempting to stall the future.

These three women each display the resilience to fight for their place in the world. They learn a lot about God, each other and themselves along the way.

Stephanie Cozart provides an excellent narration of this southern story, giving voice to believable accents that befit these characters.

This book is suitable for teens and older with no inappropriate intimate scenes and no bad language.

Recommend this book

First time reader of Amanda Cox, and was pleasantly impressed by this book. It developed the characters well . Clean book that’s a little deeper than most . I recommend this Author and also enjoyed the reader.

Vivid emotions.

I loved this book. The author “had me” from the beginning. My being an adult farmer’s daughter with memories of life at the edge of a small town, I identified with these women and their vivid emotions. I laughed and cried with them. I definitely recommend this book and the author.
