Alyssa Armsworth, a world-renowned photographer, has no intention of honoring the billionaire bride pact she made at camp to avoid getting whipped cream smeared on her face while she slept. Marriage is the last thing on her to-do list, and when her father forces his wealthy friends on her, she runs to Maui.

Her plan to jog on the beach, take some great pictures, and avoid men works - until Beckham Taylor arrives. Spending days on the ocean with the handsome ex-NHL star is ideal, but Alyssa's guilt for past transgressions begins to consume her. She doesn't think Beckham could ever forgive what she's done to him and his family. But before she can confess, her misdeeds are thrust onto the front cover of the tabloids. Now Alyssa must face her past or lose her future.

Although there are some hard moments in this book about attempted rape, the rest of the book is a clean romance.

Good romance

I enjoyed this story for the most part. At first I thought all the dangers in row seem excessive but I see you wear it fit into a story. I loved Granny and how she was included so much what it was all about,

Over all good story

I really enjoy reading clean romance stories, but throw in some adventure and danger and you've got me hooked!

All of Cami's books are interesting, entertaining, clean, sweet reads. I prefer that all the books I read or listen to, whether romance, western, murder mysteries, etc... be clean.

I'm not a prude, but... I believe the way to tell the difference between a good author & a great author who write any stories where a couple, (same sex or male/female) is this...

Any good author can tell a good story, but a really great author is one who can make you envision, in your mind, the bedroom scenes of that story without having to go into graphic details about what that couple does in bed.

There is way too much out there that entails language that does not need to be constantly heard. In books, especially on tv & in movies, & in day to day life.

The narrator, Amy McFadden is one of my favorite narrators. She adds lots of expression & dimension to all her books! I think she could read the dictionary & make it interesting! You can't go wrong with any book narrated by Amy!

Enjoyed very much!

Checkouts tries to hard with her flirty screens. It comes across as forced. The story it self is good she just needs to make the flirting feel more natural.

McFadden was fairly good but needs some work on her voices. He little boy voice came across as creepy scary guy.

Good but....

Review of audiobook borrowed through Audible Plus.
This is a self-proclaimed ‘Clean’ romance if it makes any difference to you. The author wasn’t in your face about it, but it left the characters sounding a bit juvenile to me, which then made Granny Ellie come across as over-the-line abrasive. The few times the MMC and FMC made it to a kiss were too contrived and just not believable to me. Alyssa obsesses over and over about all the guys she’s been attacked by, but once Beck rescues her it’s all gone. Yeah, no. Just not believable to me.
McFadden is not a favorite narrator for me, but she fit Alyssa and did a very decent job of narration.
