Male Lead is insulting to the SEALS, and the navy for that matter.

The story would have been a thousand times better if he'd just been a older man from a nepo family. There is NO way anyone in the Specials branches of the military wouldn't make themselves clear about hat they wanted and made a plan to make it happen.

I really wanted him to go that route. Over and over he says he doesn't want the job or the life his family wants him to have but dare not to upset "daddy and mommy" just no. at this point I'm team Ethan for the FL.

She at least goes after what she wants.

Love as no limit when it comes to age difference.

The story was difficult at times to listen to because of the age gap’s but was awesome because of the love between the characters….. a must read.

Dane MacLeod has been a Navy Seal for the past 18 years. When his father has a heart attack, he returns home to take over as CEO of his father's company MacLeod Capital Investment. He is now 40 years old and reconnects with his childhood friend Troy Manion who has a very successful Construction company and is very rich. Troy asks Dane to hire a young lady that who has great potential but that he himself doesn't have room for in his company. Troy never tells Dane that this young lady right out of college is his 21 year old daughter Bridget Manion. He calls his daughter Jet.

Bridget goes on the interview with Dane and their physical attractions is immediate. Bridget goes under the name of Franklin her mother's last name and she too doesn't know the close friendship and connection between Dane and her father.

Dane and Bridget are so attracted to each they soon start having and office romance and a very hot sensual sexy love affair. The two can't keep their hands off each other.

I could not stop listening to this story! It was so intense between the couple. You could feel them falling in love. all the characters are well written. Twin Secrets will go on my re read list.

UPDATED Review

While I did like the story better the second time I listened, I just noticed that it’s listed as a rom com! Uh sorry - nothing funny here. The FMC was strong and independent but I felt like the MMC was kind of spineless for a former Navy SEAL. He never expressed himself to his parents. Very underwhelming as a character. I mean, he was a good guy but not book boyfriend material.

That being said, since I own it I may listen to it again, but I wish I could have rented rather than own it.

MMC too soft

I still have 4 hours left but i can't get into the mmc. For a retired navy SEAL, the fmc is more alpha than him. He acts like a doormat especially towards his parents. He's 40 years old and still can't stand up for himself, which contradicts with him running away at 18 to live his own life.

*1 hour left and mmc is still a pathetic weak ass man. A navy SEAL with no backbone.
