Publisher's Summary

There continue to be many questions concerning the "Rapture" of the Church and its apparent contrast with the "Second Coming" of Jesus Christ. Where does this strange view come from? Is the term "rapture" even in the Bible?

Clearly, the idea of the Rapture can be considered the most preposterous belief in Biblical Christianity. The situation regarding the doctrine of the Rapture is painfully similar to the famous quote by Dr. Richard Feynman, speaking of quantum physics:

"I think it is safe to say that no one understands quantum mechanics...in fact, it is often stated of all the theories proposed in this century, the silliest is quantum theory. Some say that the only thing that quantum theory has going for it, in fact, is that it is unquestionably correct."

Stay Alert, Watch and Pray - get this book!

While we watch and pray for that great Catching Away, it's so wonderful to gain insight and to be reminded, lest we too fall asleep and fail to remain alert (like the 5 unwise virgins). Dr Chuck Missler remains ever sensitive to Gods leading, and I like many others, so appreciate his sharing this gift with the rest of us. "Even so, Come Lord Jesus"

Absolutely wonderful!

Extremely powerful and thought provoking book which goes so much deeper than simply discussing the Rapture. The author sites everything with Bible verses, and defines words that are unknown to most. He goes into extraordinary detail on ideas and verses that are important in what he is discussing.

This book has brought me so much more wisdom to help me understand the Bible and end times, and I began to cry happily as he concluded in chapter 15, as he was describing Jesus in endless different ways; ways that one could never imagine, that he portrayed as poetry. Beautiful, simply beautiful!

Comprehensive overview of the subject.

I have a lot of respect for Dr Chuck Misler as a Bible teacher. This book I thought was a good overview of the subject, but in places suffered from the pre-concieved notiion that the Rapture will be a "pre-millenial" event. In places huge assumptions are made without any real backup from scripture, or logical argument just becuase of the authors assumption about the timing of the event. I would love to have seen the pre-millenial evidence presented as comprehensively as the other information. Otherwise, I thought this was worthy of 5 stars, and would grace anyone's library.

A must read!!

We loved this book. Dr Chuck Missler explains the Rapture of God's faithfull Church so very clearly. We don't have to be Theologians to be able to understand what God has said to us in His Word regarding The Rapture. Dr Missler explains God's purpose for the Rapture so well. The narration was very easy to listen to.
