Brilliant professor, Sr. Dianne Bergant, guides you through the greatest work of prayer ever written.

Under the guidance of Sr. Bergant, PhD, the former President of the Catholic Biblical Association of America, you will experience the timeless power of the psalms.

Thomas Merton writes, “The Church loves the Psalms because in them she sings of her experience of God, of her union with the incarnate Word, of her contemplation of God in the Mystery of Christ.” As you journey through the Psalms, you will see how they are essential both in Scripture and the life of the Church. After exploring the theology of the Psalms, you will examine such vital topics as the sacraments, the Liturgy of the Hours, and Lectio Divina.

The Psalms exemplify the core themes of biblical faith: the holiness of God, Divine mercy, and the character of covenant. An essential prayer that nourished Jesus, they continue to provide believers with a path to faith, gratitude, praise, and joy.

Renew your spirituality with the life-giving power of the Psalms today.

Critic reviews

"Dianne is one of the most prolific authors and sought after speakers in the country. She has dedicated a lifetime of scholarship to learning and teaching the Old Testament, and accumulated a huge number of admirers and emulators. Her ministry is not confined to academic presentations but extends to her calling others to a more mature life of faith and insight into the workings of God in the world of creation." (Fr. Anthony J. Gittins, CSSp, PhD, emeritus professor of theology and culture, Catholic Theological Union)

"Sister Dianne's extensive knowledge of the Old Testament is matched only by her enthusiasm. A teacher of extraordinary insight and passion, Sister Dianne helps her students engage, interpret and understand the biblical text. If you can't be in her classroom, then Now You Know Media is the next best way to be taught by Sister Dianne Bergant." (Sr. Laurie Brink, OP, PhD, Catholic Theological Union)

“Professor Dianne Bergant invariably brings sound biblical knowledge, practical sensitivity and spiritual insight to everything she writes.” (Bishop Richard Sklba, Milwaukee)

“Sr. Dianne Bergant, C.S,A., has given her life to teaching, and she does it with enthusiasm, commitment, dynamism, and depth of thought, touching both minds and hearts.” (Abbot Gregory Polan, OSB, Conception Abbey/Conception Seminary College)

Let me say up front that I am not Catholic, however I learned so much from this book. I have always loved the Psalms, and I have often wondered about the Catholic church and the Psalms, so I downloaded this book. I must say I am very happy I did. My favorite chapter was the last, The whole chapter was on Lectio Divina, and I have been trying to meditate on Bible verses, this is an amazing book
